Taught one of the most useful courses in the CS degree with all the latest technologies in use, which is about all you want to ask of a teacher teaching this course. The things I learned in this class are the things interviewers like to ask more about. Only complaints are kinda bad multiple choice test questions, and the in class activities.

Dont recommend Rich to anyone. He makes things extremely difficult and has very high expectations. Even though it is an introductory class he expects that you have programmed before. This is not a beginners class. Asking questions on graded papers he often reviews and marks it lower than your original score. Not a TEACHER !

Do not take matlab with this teacher he makes the class extremely hard almost impossible. I spent over 20 hours a week for the class and still am barely passing it.
