He lectures all class so you must be interested in economics to do really good. you dont have to read the book but it is helpful since his tests are essay questions. Grades are based on 1 test and 2 optional quizzes so you have to do good on the test, no grade boosters like homework.

Do not take this class at 8 in the morning. Overall a good teacher I learned alot so far, notes are mandatory for success in this class. Lecture for the entire class. Has two tests one essay and a couple quizzes some of which are optional. Overall good guy willing to listen and if you dont mind lecture class is pretty easy, im taking him again

Very kind, smart guy. I find economics mind-numbingly boring but I actually thought he was pretty easy to listen to and understand. Take notes and you'll do OK. I never touched the book and walked out with a B. No homework except studying, which you will need to as the tests are very open-ended (no multiple choice).

a good lecturer, if not a bit boring. he uses the book but only for half of the material which gets annoying. we only had 2 tests (and one optional quiz) to be graded from, and he doesnt grade on a curve. so if you screw up once youre done. too much pressure for an intro class. take it with someone else. for any upper level econ class id take him.

Fenton is the best teacher that I have had so far at Brockport. Very clear, lots of examples. You can tell he really knows what he is talking about. Just take good notes, write down everything he says.
