Friedman is a great professor. His lectures are really interesting time passes by before you know it... and every now and then you even crave for more. Although the TA's grade harsh, but overall Friedman is definitely a professor I'd recommend.

He is hilarious! Lectures are sooo interesting and entertaining. The reading is okay, but the papers suck. Hum is a hard class, but taking Friedman makes it fun and managable.

Friedman's a great lecturer and is really entertaining in class but don't bother going to OH b/c he is not very obliging. Also, if ur interested in greek history take Chamberlain because Friedman concentrates only on the old test.

Friedman is a nut. He knows everything about the bible, and that's pretty much it. Don't take this class if you're more interested in learning about the true founders of western civ - the Greeks, because all class time is spent on the old testament.
