Class solely based on 3 essays. If you can write papers well, this is an easy B+/A-. If not, dont take this class. Lectures quickly and often just rants about his little "baby topics" that is what the class is based on. I never bought the books and was fine all semester.

Dr. Letteri requires a lot of reading and writing. If you focus in class, you can figure out the outline for your paper. Then you can pick out the reading that you actually need to read. If your unhappy with your grade, go see him. He will explain everything to you and how to improve.

Letteri is intimidating at first, and the only graded material is three 10-page papers (take home tests) assigned 10 days in advance. However, he makes the material extremely interesting and is willing to meet with students to discuss questions, papers, etc. Extensive required reading, but he understands that everyone won't get through it.

I have mixed feelings on Dr. Letteri. He is hilarious in class and very smart. He is extremely difficult to write papers for, however, and makes you feel dumb at times. I would take him if you're good at cranking out 12-16 page papers, but if you're not...I would probably recommend someone else.

Not nearly as bad as everyone says. A little intimidating but actually really nice. Learn what he likes and do speeches on that. I actually appreciated his critical comments and peer critiques because it really helped for the next speech. All you do is give speeches though, so it's pretty easy most of the time.

Take Bill Goldburg and add cigarettes and a very funny bitterness. That is Dr. Letteri. While the subjects may not be exciting, his comments are. The class is not too hard if you are willing to put in the time. Should be a painless B if you put in the effort.

he is brutally honest when you speak in front of people but you will learn a ton! if you have stage fright this is not the class to take. all you do in the class is give speeches and and a final exam on the book that he wrote.

Dr. Letteri is an amazing professor! Great lecturer and he is very willing to help. He gives you 2 possible test topics a few days before, and chooses 1. I now have him as an advisor, he's that good. You have to pay attention in class and he likes those who participate, but take good notes (dont necessarially have to read) and you will do fine.

Rich Letteri is FABULOUS. He is a FUN professor---hard, but fair. You will learn a lot and have a great time doing so. Don't expect to slack off in his classes, though---he is serious and likes students who take it seriously.

He is really tough. He seems to pick favorites, and can be mean at times. He seems to base his opinions on whether you are a cute girl or an athletic guy (although that doesn't always work either). His class is really tough, but you learn something.
