I've heard people call him a boring old man but that's not the Minot I know. I usually have trouble staying awake in 8AMs but this one I could live up to. He teaches you what you need to know for the course and then some. Among others, he's taught us we need the chutzpah to stand up out in the real world. And I solidified my debitscredits+more.

Love this guy. Participate in class- make sure he knows your name. Took him for 8 wk advd acct. He's hilarious. 2 exams, lots of assignments but necessary for good grade. 1 sheet 1 sided cheat sheet. I have never gotten an A on acct exam before and I got a 100 on his final. He loves life and doesn't take anything too serious. Don't bother emailing

I am A+ in this class! Pro. Minot was very humor when he was teaching in class. He gave us a lots of practice problems and those are similar to midterm exam and final. He gave a lots curve for midterm and final, so I don't think someone will fail this class. I am highly recommend him coz you will pass the course at the end!No worry!

He does a lot of practice problems in class, and these are mainly what shows up on the tests with some book questions. So it's a good idea to go to class. Read the book, too; it helps a lot. Take him if you want someone chill and a pushover. Don't take him if you like an organized professor.

Horrible professor!! He likes to joke around during class, and has an easygoing attitude. That is good, but he takes your work seriously, so don't be fooled! Unclear, messy handwriting, doesn't reply to emails. Forget it, stay away from him if you have a choice.

Don't take this teacher. His hand writing is so messy you can't understand a single thing he writes. He gives quizzes on random days so you have to go. He calls on the students so you have to participate. He's doesn't mention when homework is due. Takes points of multiple choice answers if you don't show work.

Minot is a very quirky and interesting professor. Took him for 8am Advance Accounting and he was aleady bouncing off the walls wide awake. His writing is very hard to read and his methods are difficult to grasp, but an A is manageble in his class due to his curve and extra credit on the final. Emailing won't work so go to his office hours for help

Terrible professor. I just took MGMT 30A online. This guy never responds to emails or issues concerning the class. Everything in this class is self taught, you just look at the powerpoints online or read the book. I think throughout the entire summer session, he signed onto a forum two or three times to answer questions.

The worst professor I have ever had!!Never taking another class by him again. He didn't give clear deadlines, and to top it all off a lot of students didn't receive all the credit we were supposed to for the final cause the "class was over and grades are final". He honestly does not care about his students; I taught myself everything. AVOID!

Might be a good professor for an actual class, however, do not take his online class. He does not teach anything. He does not respond to urgent emails. You basically have to read the book and teach yourself everything. Even then it is extremely difficult because some of the questions he asks on the midterms and final are not even in the book.

I took MGMT 30A online over the summer and he might be the worst professor I have encountered so far at UCI. He frankly did not teach a thing and hardly ever responded to urgent emails. It was basically a self teach class and I would try to avoid taking him if you can.

He is the worst professor I have ever "met". I just took his online accounting class. He did not give clear directions, never answer to IMPORTANT emails and he has attitudes towards students who have questions. He has VERY bad planning for the class, he gave us the "deadline" the day before it.Group work was BS,useless and wasted our time.

Excellent and entertaining professor.Very enthusiastic and passionate, tries hard to make lectures engaging. The class is challenging, and exam questions can be pretty tricky, but doable if you study well. Groupwork is a pain.He teaches through examples and encourages participation. Helpful in answering questions. Read the book and you will excel.

This lecturer knows his stuff, but he's mainly not a professor. That being said, his tests are almost directly from the HW. If you can do the HW, then tests should be a breeze. I got A's on both midterms and was doing well on quizzes, so I didn't have to take the final. Just make sure you know how to do everything bc everything is intertwined.

Best teacher ever! His lectures are fun, entertaining, you always leave with a great mood, he actually talks to people in the class, he's funny, and knows a lot. Makes the impossible - boring accounting class - to be actually enjoyable. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!!

Possibly the worst teacher ever, as in a person who can not teach. He knows his stuff clearly and tries to help and get people involved to learn, but his way of teaching is too obscure and hard to understand. The only way to learn is to read the book yourself, do the practice problems and understand. The online quiz/hw is bs.

Professor knows his stuff but cannot does not know how to teach. It feels like when he opens the powerpoint it is his first time looking at it becuase he just reads off the slides. Very interesting lecture, really know his stuff. You will learn a lot from him. He has his own acct firm. Extra credits left and right. Tests are tough but in this class you got to study.
