Professor Sanders is beyond what I expected. Even though he's messy and late at times, he's very knowledgeable about the materials. His homework are extremely helpful and crucial to getting a good grades in the class. Midterms and finals are very reflective of his homeworks!! Study the homeworks and you will get at least a B+

I highly do not recommend. Class is almost pointless to go to because the lectures are very disorganized. He asked at least once each class who all has taken linear algebra so if you have maybe you would be better off taking his class. The homework that is given is helpful for the tests. The final grade is based off of four test and that's it.

DO NOT TAKE. only taught material through "notes" portion of homework then would threaten to take this away when students came to him for help! rarely came to class prepared to lecture. had to teach myself the material through the internet.

If you're a math or physics major Sanders is your best choice. Every other professor is mostly concerned with teaching stuff at a superficial level so that everyone will pass. Sanders will make you worker harder but you will walk out of that class knowing a lot of calculus. His teaching style emphasizes proofs and conceptual understanding.

You need to stay in top of his HW. If not be prepare to fail. He likes to throw one or two questions/exercises that he work during class. So go to class. His TA is awesome, so if he has a good TA go to him/she. His style of teaching is chaotic and gives me a headache, but he cool. I would probably fail. I work to late on his HW. Funny dude!

Funny teacher, but his lectures are disorganized. No online notes available, so you either must attend class, or try to read the confusing txtbk. Homework are optional, designed to prepare you for test. Professor's answers for hw questions are unclear and skips steps for the sake of conciseness. Only 3 tests. No quizzes, no graded hw.

He is a fair grader. He used some of the old test questions but changed a little bit. He also knows ppl use them but he gives you grade base on the final performance cuz that how he knows you know the material. I made A in the course. B+ & C+ on the midterms. and hw are not graded

He teaches the course like it is a graduate level course. Which means if you know the material we'll he'll take you to the next level. However if not it can be overwhelming and you'll be playing catch up after the first week. His exams are difficult. However if you take the time to come to his office hours he will stay late and try to help you out.

One of the most disorganized classes I have ever taken, but can't complain too much because I got an A. Only grades in the class were tests, which only had 5 questions. His lectures are all over the place, but if you do the homework, which he writes up himself, you'll do fine on the tests as long as you study the proofs! Didn't use textbook.

you will receive 4 grades in the class--all test grades. homework is not graded but since the tests are so heavily weighed for your average, its in your best interest to do all the homework. he doesnt give much but gives you everything you need for the test. disorganized he jumps all over the board doing 1 problem. he is a very nice professor.

No idea where people are coming up with this stuff. The guy is easily one of the top 2 professors I had at UH. -Very engaging, always takes time to answer questions in class. -Always has lots of people come by his office for help and answers questions -Homework is minimal and not required -Doesn't follow book but has his own notes he posts

Very funny nice guy and gets off topic occasionally. You will have a hard time following from the book, because he jumps everywhere. This is important, take great notes and you'll be able to do his homework. I recommend seeing him in his office, because he is extremely helpful in explaining everything in detail making sure you understand it.

He is a very funny guy, but funny doesn't mean he makes the material accessible. Teaches the course like you are a graduate students. He doesn't follow the book so it is useless for help, his topics he covers aren't in it. His homework is very difficult and he does not provide solutions, only answers. I would not recommend him for this class.

Funny, nice, helpful during office hours, extremely disorganized, off topic often! He tries to prove the fundamental theories that contribute to the material taught in the course. Usually, those topics are more suited for a graduate level real analysis course. I do not recommend him. I only rated him easy because I'm just generally very good at mat

I think he could be ok for another course, but DON'T TAKE 3338 WITH HIM. He told us the first day of class he had never taken or taught probability before. This is very believable. We spent most of the course on stuff that would normally be taught in a RA course and skimmed over or didn't even cover a lot of important probability concepts.

HAD TO WITHDRAW. Didn't understand what the heck he was talking about. He didn't teach out of the book. Didn't understand how to do the homework. He's a FUNNY guy and made us laugh a lot. I'm sure he would be great to hang around with, but he doesn't do a good job getting information across to the class. Would not risk taking him for any class.

He's ok. The course is actually very simple, but he over complicated it tremendously, thus the reflected grade. He never used the book. He would go off on tangents. He actually forgot about the final three weeks prior to it, and forgot about the 3rd exam. Your percentage is based on only 3 exams and a final.
