Had him for Early Modern Europe. Snooze fest. DON'T TAKE CLASS WITH HIM! He's a terrible teacher, goes on irrelevant rants, uses obnoxious terms and wording that doesn't make sense, and he doesn't prepare you AT ALL for the tests, which there are only three of, and that's your only grade for the class. Stay far, far away.

Dr. Andersen mentored me to the baccalaureate award for history in 2003. He is above and beyond all question the most underappreiated professor at SMC. Take his classes and learn how the modern world developed. He is always willing to take time after class to help, which aside from his family is the only thing he loves more than talking baseball.

I want to cry every time I remember I have to go to his class. I started drinking coffee solely to get through it. Take it at your own risk; you won't learn the subject through his lectures, that's for sure. He's probably a nice guy, but I won't get over the utter monotony of his teaching method to find out.
