I would definitely recommend this professor to everyone. He is funny and respectful and insightful and really knows how to teach tough material. He made a point to connect with all of his students. Classes were either interesting lectures or fun labs. I hope to take every course he teaches.

The only thing I have to warn about this course is that the final is really tough. Otherwise, it's a great class. He offers tons of help in his office hours. The labs are easy, and he ran out of time to grade ours so we all got 97s. His demos are all toys his kids broke. He also has a really awesome treat for the class at the end of the semester...

Thermo itself is kinda difficult, but Vinci makes it much easier to understand. The course gets more difficult as the year progresses, but Vinci uses his office hours to etch out the solutions to the hw. He is always willing to make time for discussion with his students and keeps the class interesting with examples and demos.

vinci is the coolest teacher of all time. thermo is hard, but if you go to office hours he explains everything even better than he does in class. he truly loves teaching and will do his best to help you succeed.
