The class is suppose to be a introductory course but it seems like EARTH 500. Its extremely hard. Its very unprepared. His teaching is very choppy. He doesn't offer you any valuable help and the only way to get by this class is to see the TA. All he does is read off of slides and talk about scuba diving. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS PLEASE!!!!!!

I enjoyed Earth 002 and felt that I learned a lot. I am really interested in global climate and earth systems so I enjoyed this class. It is not an easy class and you must attend lecture, take good notes, and read to do well but if you enjoy the subject you might learn a lot from him.

I TOOK THIS CLASS BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE EASY....EARTH 002. BUT IN FACT, IT WAS MORE LIKE EARTH 520. THIS CLASS WAS SO HARD AND HE IS NOT A GOOD PRESENTING THE INFORMATION SO YOU READ THE BOOK...AND STILL DONT UNDERSTAND...WHY...BECAUSE HE WROTE THE DAM BOOK. PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS CLASS.

Lectures are choppy and boring. He is unprepared for class, does not know how to make the content interesting or understandable. You must buy the book for this class or you won't pass. Tests are very hard-topics he says won't be included will in fact be on it. Projects and homework aren't hard, but his in-class assingments can be hard.
