Farmer teaches a course that is basically just a continuation of ACCT 2242, so you should probably take it once you finish the intro course. Everything he teaches leading up to the midterm should be a review after the midterm would require the most practice. I would highly recommend Farmer.

He only reads off the slides. Did not do one example through the whole semester. There were things on the midterm never gone over in class. He expects you to read and teach yourself with the textbook. I took the class with another professor after and did extremely well. I am now majoring in accounting but no thanks to Robert Farmer!

This is my first accounting class at SMU that I did well in and I think it's because of this prof. He was clear and relatable in his explanations and made accounting seem possible for a non accounting major.

A very energetic prof, horrible jokes, but that's just what makes him such a lovable guy, and makes every course he teaches great. Teaches like a Junior High teacher using _____________________ (Open-ended questions). Write down his examples and you'll do fine.

love the guy. The lamest prof ever but overall good guy and good professor. Tries his best to make it interesting, and gives points where ever he can. For the mid term and final he lets you have a cheat sheet. He knows it's mandatory for most students in mgmt/hr and does his best with it. Highly recommended

Great professor! attendance isn't mandatory but it always helps for accounting classes. The book is pretty much necessary, because he often assigns questions for assignments from the book instead of creating an assignment. Overall helpful and approachable, and posts everything you need online. Kinda silly but a nice fellow
