All he does is lecture the whole time. No matter how hard you study for the tests, they will be impossible I guarantee, however, don't worry because his grading system is based on the standard deviation of the class so most people end up with a B or B-. Did not learn anything unfortunately.

Robert George is cynical to the point where its a little funny. However, his tests are no joke. Prof. George grades the class by standard deviation, meaning that most people will get a B- while 1 or 2 people in the class get an A. His exams consists of a take home midterm and a in class final.

Honestly one of the worst professors I've ever had. His notes are sporadic and make absolutely no sense. The equations he gives are so convoluted and complex that you can't use them for book problems or the exams. Does not give us example problems or walk us through steps; he stands and talks at the class for an hour and calls it a day. AVOID!

He gives easy examples in class but the exams are 100% harder and confusing. You never feel prepared for the exams as he doesn't review for them. It is possible to get an A in his class as I did, but there is lots of Self-Studying and you must READ THE CHAPTERS and DO END OF CHAPTER PROBLEMS. Most students will get C+ to an B with the curve. AVOID.

Professor George HATES undergrad students. He explicitly told us this during our first class, and he continues to make it clear throughout the rest of the semester. He is unclear, mean, and does not care about his students. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

I took George for Financial Environment (FN 6411) at the Business School. He's entertaining and provides real world examples. Open Book and open note tests. I would recommend taking this class

George is a funny guy, he reminds me of a mix between Robert Deniro and Woody Allen .. but that's about the only positive of this class. The way he grades makes it so almost everyone in the class will get a B. If you're looking to get a 4.0 GPA, I wouldn't suggest this class. Tests are ridiculously hard but everyone fails so don't sweat it.

By far the best prof I had @ Fordham in the early 90's... not only did he teach the basics, but he made you understand them on an entirely different level. Visit during office hours to get a totally different perspective of him. I kept in touch with him over the years & he has sent me great applicants when I was hiring new grads.

I liked George. A lot of people think he's a jerk but I thought his dry and inappropriate sense of humor was hilarious. His knowledge of finance is amazing and a result of his world experience, not all academics. He has a weird curve that seems somewhat generous. Two midterms and a Final. I've learned more in this class than most others at FU.

George is awesome and anyone who says that he isn't wasn't working hard enough to keep up with him. Study the notes he gives in class and you'll be fine especially with the curve. He as an acid sense of humor which is really funny if its not directed at you so just don't make stupid comments and chill out hippies finance is about making money.

It seems George used to be a good professor but when I took him he was horrible. He does not follow the textbook, you can't read his class notes and his lecture style had most of the class lost. If you actually want to learn about finance and at the same time preserve your GPA avoid him at all costs.

this guy is unfriendly, obnoxious, and does not belong at a Jesuit university. Not doubting his intelligence, but I don't think I've ever disliked a professor so much in my life. Take this class if you want to be miserable, or if all you care about in life is making money, beating women, and supporting child labor.

If you show him respect he will show you respect. He covers a lot each class so try not to miss any. His tests are hard but with the new standard deviation curves, almost everyone gets a B.

If you want to sound intelligent on an interview, take George. If you like wasting your tuition money, take someone else. George is an interesting character but shows respect if you show him an interest in finance. Difficult class overall; grade is what you put into it. Very fair curve in the end. George is the best there is in finance at Fordham.

Key to Wall St. If you can't keep up with him, then stay out of his classes, becuase you're probably worthless to begin with. Basicaly shows you how to blow through interviews with ease. Take all finance classes with him if you're smart.
