I was super nervous after the first day because I didn't think I'd be able to do his classes. Honestly, I have grown so much as a public speaker. Presentation of assignments are your choice but just remember there is participation points. Super nice guy and if you put effort, you can succeed. Lots of papers though. Short ones but still.

Another garbage professor at WSU, totally inconsiderate, considers himself to be a boss when in reality he should consider himself as an instructor which is what his real job is. Unwilling to clarify on his already confusing homework assignments. Unwilling to comprise with students and completely useless in helping his students. Dont take.

Another horrible professor at WSU. He would assign papers, but if you would ask him to clarify something, he never would "because that's what it is going to be like in the real world." In the real world, employees have access to information and data, while in his class he expects you to find it somewhere. If you have to take --> Participate!!

I learned more from his class with no tests and no quizzes than I have in the majority of my other business classes. Very good professor. Tells you like it is. Take him.

I had Newberry for sports marketing and prof. selling and this guy knows his stuff. Very helpful and actually fun to go to class. I would take Newberry if you actually wanna learn some marketing and networking skills. Plus we went to a twins game to top it all off.

You have 6 exams throughout the semester (not including the final) so be prepared to read and study a lot! Journals aren't so bad, easy points if you take the time to do them. He explains things pretty well, it's just hard to stay focused :-) Also, be prepared for group work and random assignments with classmates you don't know...

This class was alright. He tends to ramble on various tangents during class, which can get boring pretty quickly. Tests are hard but fair and diaries help your grade if you take the time to do them.

A lot of information, and he sometimes forgets that we are still students and not out in the real world. The journals are sometimes annoying to do, but you can get more points in the class for them. Volunteer whenever you can!! I probably would not encourage taking him, unless you want a challenge

He's good at teaching but outside of class he's kind of got a bad attitude towards students. You do learn a lot from the class though and he's thorough in his lectures. Tests are either essay or multiple choice, take the essay, they're easier. Other than that no homework really except for a journal.

This prof is really helpful. He is inspiring and encouraging. Yes, his classes can be challenging, but after you graduate you will understand why he challenged you to use your brain. He too will be there for you after you graduate.

I basically think Newberry is nothing but a car salesman! Asking help from him can be very frustrating because he doesn't give you a straight answer...Not very helpful...His exams are a direct representation of his muddled mind!

Dr. Newberry is a great professor and knows what he is talking about. He offers great advice to anyone thinking about going into sales as a career. His grading method for this class is totally up to the student and as clear as can be.

Pretty much an average teacher. Is very knowledgeable about marketing, lectures are boring, journals every week can get annoying. Tests aren't too hard as long as you take notes and study your online textbook (which is about 50 bucks cheaper)

Newberry is a very intelligent man and is trying to push his students to a new level. However, I think that attempts to challenge students often result in confusion and frusteration. Grading is horribly unclear as well - half way through the semester...
