Plice is a really good professor but the tests were a little difficult, since they were free response. I lucked out and got a good group which was crucial.

Nice awkward guy. Takes participation grading very seriously. Professors usually just give you 100% if they offer participation points, well not this guy. Would take again, but he really needs to realize that group projects suck!!

Comment:
Semester long group project culminating in a 2 day presentation. Group assignments almost every week, but nothing graded until the end. Plice will answer questions and give clear feedback, but lectures are long and boring. Ultimately, how good of a group you end up in (groups are chosen randomly) will decide how easy/hard this class is.

I expected harder stuff from a graduate level course. You do need to prepare a presentation every week with your group. Pretty straight forward. Didn't use the book once. Tests are pretty easy just review the slides from class.

he is kind of dull, but I like his approach to the class it is very hands on and feels more like real world rather than just having your nose in a book. Tests are not multiple choice but are pretty easy if you actually study. This was not my major so I was kinda bored but its a good class

Dr. Plice is a great professor with a positive attitude. He is straight forward with the material and take the time to get to know his students. His exams are not multiple choice and if you don't study you will bomb them.

Amazing class! I loved the way it was taught. It was a good class because it allowed you to think outside the box and work on presenting in a formal situation. Dr. Plice is a great professor, one of the best for IDS classes!

Plice is a great teacher. 2 Exams (you have to study for them by going to class and reading the PP) 1 case project that you work on all semester and present ~5 times. He really cares about the stuff he teaches and really wants to help you learn the material.

Plice is an excellent teacher. He is clear, concise and conveys his expectations to you at every turn. He is available if you need guidance at any point in the semester. The exams are NOT multiple choice so you have to actually know the material but if you put in good effort, you can do well in his class. The project is where you can pick up points

Dr. Plice is one of the best professors in the department. His expectations are crystal clear & the lectures are very informative. This class is not as difficult as 306/406, but is still challenging. There are 3 tests(multiple choice, T/F & fill-in) & 4 short essays/article reviews. Attendance is graded & test questions are based on lectures. Take!

Group Project & Two Tests is the course. However expect to do mini-group projects every other week. A lot of work but prepares you conceptually to be a Systems Analyst. Tests are essay / fill in the blank, but questions are simple enough if you read. POWERPOINTS DEFINE SCOPE OF TEST, BOOK is needed for the project.
