Nice guy not the best professor. You'll have to work very hard for your grade. Start paying attention and studying from day 1 and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Dr. Pred seems alright enough but the class needs some restructuring. A lot of people did bad and it wasn't all their fault (mostly). For me, the biggest problem was the notes. I'd take notes and they'd be trash and then I'd look up his and have trouble following because they're so cryptic. If he'd fix his note-taking, this class would be better.

I really liked Professor Pred as a person but not as a professor. He taught us how to use excel and stat crunch before teaching us how to do it like we would on the exams. He spent a lot of the class talking to people about their food versus teaching us the information. The TAs were amazing, but its sad they did more to prepare us than the prof.

Its obvious Dr Pred is on here giving himself good reviews. People saying students "study the night before and expect As", I studied for 16 WEEKS for this course taught myself everyday and night, watching the class captures, reading the class notes over and over again. Still failed. I say we all take this to the dean. This just isn't fair.

Just took the final today. It was better than I thought it would be! Dr Pred gave one of the fairest finals ever. And he gave us 2 bonus questions which would increase our exam score by 7%. Now what other proffesor would give us 7 % for 2 questions? I regret for saying he was a bad proffesor. Take him, you'll be fine. Extra credit huge boost!

I have NEVER gone to class and didn't even watch the class capture and I have a 102. He gives you notes before every exam and grants extra credit for up to 6 points on your final grade. I have no idea how people managed to fail this class and get 40s on each exam. Crazy how people will just rate someone horribly because of their own incompetence.

Dr. Pred has genuinely made me question my entire life choices. If you want to throw out thousands of dollars, take him. The worst class and professor at Temple. They should fire him immediately. I think I lost brain cells going to this class.

I am about to take the Final for this class tomorrow. I don't even know what to study. I think I am going to fail this final and get a bad grade in the class. The notes are unclear and I guarantee you stuff from there will not be on the final. I made a mistake choosing this professor, but I really had no choice. For anyone else, try another prof.

Dr pred is a nice guy who does not teach relevent material needed for the tests. Most of class he just goes over excel problems which is not useful for anything but the homework maybe. I am probably going to fail this class. I dont reccomend taking him he makes the course much harder than it needs to be

Dr. Pred is without a doubt the worst professor I have ever had. He wastes nearly an hour every class covering 1 example. The homework he gives is not relevant to the exams. The exams are all conceptual, and you're expected to read through his scattered notetaking to pass the class. This is the lowest grade I have ever received in any class, ever.

Let me tell ya, do not listen to any good review on this guy, I made that mistake. I am losing faith in Rate my Prof after choosing him for this class. WORST DECISION on professors I have ever made. Get ready to spend hours a week doing hw and sitting in class learning content that isn't on the exam.

I would not recommend taking this class at all. The only way to get a decent grade is to literally listen to every word of his long, boring lectures. He wants you to be some sort of statistics expert on the test; he phrases every question in an extremely difficult way, making it unnecessarily hard. Overall, take any other Stat professor.

Worst professor ever. He said he doesn't believe in study guides. I wanna know who let this man become a teacher he is terrible. Won't let the TA's hold study sessions for the final. Gives homework that isn't on the exam. Teaches content that isn't on the exam. Highly weighted exams. You must attend 16 1 hour study sessions for only 2% ex credit.

Dr. Pred emphasized the importance of using the textbook, completing homework, and attending lectures in order to succeed in the course. It is interesting because the exams were NOTHING like anything that you were doing in each of the above. The exams were mostly concepts and definitions with some calculations -- a nice way to fail the exams.

Professor Pred's class was the most ridiculous class I have ever taken. First of all, he speaks in monotone and speaks super slow, making the class unbearable . His homework does not line up with what is taught in class, nor does it help with the exams. His exams are definition based, not even calculations based. WOULD 100% NOT RECOMMEND. AVOID!
