Comment:

Dr. Quinn's classes compose of the same thing each period: 10 min of telling you about the daily weather, 10-30 min of notes, 10-30 min of story telling (they can be interchanged). He is a great guy, and you learn stuff you never knew about but if you're looking for easy science courses don't take his classes. PS: Don't buy textbooks. It's a waste.

Worst professor I've had. His lectures are awful and don't make any sense, and his tests are based almost entirely off of them. The questions on the exams are difficult to understand, and he is VERY picky about answers. He made us buy a $150 textbook that we never used- I'm still ticked about that. Avoid this class and professor at all costs.

Class is: 10 min weather report, 10 min lecture, 30 stories. It is not enough to take good notes or record lecture. Handwriting unreadable, bad at explaining tougher concepts. Had us buy a huge $6 map for only a few questions on a lab. Humiliates students with GOTCHA questions all the time. Huge ego. Unfriendly to students from disabilities center.

Had him for several 300 level classes. You knew your assignments, you could get help, and you learn a lot. Take good notes as they will come in handy for the test. Most the time a text book is useless. He also taught my capstone. I reccomend him for 100 and 300 level classes.

Loved this professor. yeah he told stores 80% of class. But if you took notes off what he wrote and drew on the board, you can pass his tests and labs with no problem. Bought the book but never used it. He gives daily weather reports and loves to explain things that aren't even his subject! QUINN is an easy teacher for 100, you just have to attend

If you go to class you pass. He does tell stories but they are usually funny and entertaining. I didnt even buy the book and passed every test and lab. If you just ignore his stories in your notes and just write what he puts on the board you will pass with no effort. Best teacher of a required class I have had!

He tells stories 80 percent of the class period and goes on tangents so much that your notes don't make perfect sense. He's a great guy and loves his job, but he thinks people in a 200 level class should automatically understand what he's teaching.

All I could hear from him was "blah, blah, blah! blah blah and more blah!" A complete and total ego trip for him. Nothing on tests pertained to anything discussed in class. It would have meant tests were about him and his life and times. Can not lecture toward tests to save his life or anyone else.

Intro to geoolgy---I went to lectures and took the tests and did okay on them, I did the labs and the ass gave me a .7!!!!!!!! Are you ****ing kidding me. He rambles on and on in class, brought his annoying grand daughter to school(summer) and let her intrupt class to the point I couldn't hear! take another proffessor!

It is necessary to play the Quin drinking game at least once a week to stave off boredom. 1)Every time he says "incredible" take a shot. 2) Every time he says "good on you" take a shot. 3) Every time he says "upper level low". 4) Every time he references his home. 5) Every time he tells a war story - take a shot. That'll get you through.
