Professor Nas is really nice and very knowledgeable, his lectures are very good. My only hang up with his class is that he does not prepare you very well for the exams. Make sure to read the text book, even if he didnt cover it in class it might still be on the exam.

Good teacher, but exams are a huge part of the class and it isn't too specific on what will be on the exam.

As long as you show up to class and read the chapters in the book, there should be no reason you fail. he does not write every single thing on the board for your notes so that why you need to read the chapters. By the end of the class you will feel that you actually learned about real life economics besides just how the graphs move.

Online. Exam one week, disscusion board the next. Exams are horrible! He tests you on things that are not even in the chapter. On other questions, he has two correct answers but only considers one correct? I read the chapters and played along, but still had a hard time with exams. Please avoid, your GPA will thank you. Huge mistake on my part

I liked Dr. Nas. He's not particularly easy. His final was difficult. But he's pretty straight forward. There's no surprises. He's on top of things. You know where you stand. Fair.

I am not sure of why there were so many negative ratings for professor Nas. He is not as difficult as some make him seem. He gives you the basics and expects students to put forward an effort to learn the materials. As long as you do this you will receive a good grade in this course.

Don't be afraid to take this class because of previous ratings. It is an easy class if YOU put forth the effort. He teaches you the material, but it is your responsibility to reinforce it if you want to do well. I thought it was an easy A, but it will require you to think and study.

He is one of my favorite Econ teachers. I loved his money and banking class. It is very interesting. He makes it extremely clear what is going to be on the tests. Do the study guides and the review questions from the book and there should be no reason not to do well. Also come to class, there is an extra credit final only if you come to class

I did not like him one bit. He told the whole class that he didn't know how we were doing bad on the exams. That everything we needed was in the book. well when you don't teach from the book it is a little hard! All he talked about was current events. He told me personally that he didn't know where his prior exam was so I could just look for him.

His classes can be tough at times, but not impossible by any means. His speech is perfect; just soft spoken. The study guides help quite a bit on the tests and he does offer some extra credit. I would take him again, I just wouldn't recommend the 3 hour class.

I feared taking this class because of the previous ratings. DON'T BE! He is a generous person. His lectures revolve around real-life. He is challenging, but as long as you do your work, you will do fine! GREAT PROFESSOR and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN ECONOMICS!

Very easy class. 3 exams, 1 little assignment in the end. Plus an extra credit final!!! If you do all the practice tests, then you will ace all the exams! The questions on the test are quite either opposite or similar to what the practice tests are. Just pay attention when reading a book and there is no way to get anything less than a B.

I would say this is the hardest intro level class I have taken. He is difficult to understand at times and dosent answer emails becuase he gets "too many". He is always available at office hours however and takes note as to who shows up for class often. I would take ecn 202 first as you will have a better grasp of what he throws at you.

I don't understand why people say that he is difficult. He's not at all. He explains everything very clearly. His exams are easy if you know the material. Only 3 exams and extra credit final. As long as you study, it's all good. To me, it was an easy A. Great professor.
