This guy won me over at the end because he actually gave me an A. Yes, hes late a lot, yes, he hands back stuff wayyy too late (I got my last quiz back 5 minutes before the final, gee thanks professor) But just be a good student, participate, go to class, study and do your homework, and go to his office occasionally for help and you'l be just fine

Teaching style is good for the most part. He moves pretty fast and his explanations are not so helpful. He is however very energetic and enthusiastic about the subject. Grading is a little nit-picky, but mostly fair. He worst trait is that he always hands back things--tests and papers, weeks after you take them. Overall--not bad.

i say i hate math bc it's a whole other language-but this rly IS a new language so it's not gonna be easy.I got an A & i didnt have to study that much. the homework helps understand stuff, he gets mad if u dont do it so make an effort.the final concentrated more on the 2nd half of the course even tho he says cumulative.plus he's rly nice,dont worry

Everyone failed the midterm, but there seemed to be a 30 point curve at the end of the semester. Very disorganized, tests were difficult, didn't follow the book, and very confusing. We did a lot of uneccessary work. I had more work in this class than my other classes combined. do not take him.

Seemed very jumbled all the time, late to class a lot, handed tests back late. He would review the same thing over and over and doesn't really teach conversational italian, but does more vocab than anything. He knows his stuff, but just irked me, personally. Its hit or miss with this guy- you either love him or hate him.

I had Professor Sciarrone last semester. This semester I picked a class tought by "Staff" and was really excited when I found out he'd be my teacher again. He really loves Italian and is a great teacher. Fair grader, very considerate and just a fun guy.

Very hard.Late for class, and runs through everything extremly fast.He waits till class is over to assign hw, making you have to run to your next class.Gives loads of hw and has really difficuly tests.Also assigns a lo of oral group and individual presentations.

He is really a very nice guy and is very knowlegeable about Italy and the language. The only problem is that he tends to grade papers really late, however I would def recommend him to anybody taking italian. I had him for two semesters now.
