Prof. Stewart's lessons on the Good Life can be tough to grasp, but it has also been very beneficial as well. Do the readings, mesmerize the names, and dont bs the writings. Be present for extra credit assignments which are based on the readings; he'll give at least two randomly. Get that A!

Stewart is a good guy, and also very smart. I enjoyed his class but he is kind of monotone and you really don't have to go to every class. Go every once in a while, like once a week and you will be fine. The midterms are easy, all you have to do is take some notes and BS it. Overall, I liked the class and Stewart is a chill guy.

His lectures were very boring, but as long as you show up to class and read the books, you'll pass with an A. The first midterm requires you to read the books, but the 2nd one I literally just used common sense and got an A and passed the class with an A. I wouldn't recommend skipping class unless you want to read a lot.

I wouldn't recommend this class if you have no interest in philosophy. There are 6 or 7 books he requires for the class, but if you pay attention to his lectures you'll be fine. Make sure to get in your caffeine before class; he is a little monotone, although an interesting guy.

If you don't have any interest in philosophy, I wouldn't recommend this class. The readings are awful and not covered in class. There are only 2 tests the entire semester. Both tests are 45% of the grade which can turn out badly. If you don't mind all of those things, then the class isn't too boring and the teacher is a sweetheart, so go for it!

I wanted to shoot myself each class. He whispers in front of a huge class & expects everyone to hear him. Discussions are usually pretty boring & not all of the reading is relevant. Go to class & listen & you should do okay. That's if you can hear him & stay awake.

Prof Stewart is a very nice guy. Biomedical ethics is a tough class if you have never taken any philosophy before. How interesting the class discussion is depends upon how much your classmates are involved. My advice is to go to all lectures and scan over the reading material to get the gist of it. Exams are mainly based on lectures.

Biomedical Ethics was just using common sense and showing up for discussion. Take some notes, write down your opionion and you should get at least a B. I got an A an i just used some terms we talked about in class. There are extra credit things too. Easy A imo. Class was a lil boring but you can miss if you want to.

Dear God. This class is horrible. I went literally 3 times and got an A because it is all stuff any individual who has ever learned English should have known from middle school. No depth due to the large class size and low average I.Q. as it is a theme course.

He's so boring! He pushes his political agenda way too hard. We talk more about politics than we do about actual medical ethics issues. I'm sitting in his class right now, giving him a bad review rather than listening to him lecture. Do the reading if you don't go to class, only 2 exams, both essay form

Terrible teacher. Very pecimistic for a happiness class. He has a very clear view of happiness and explains the material very biasedly. He does not allow students to create their own opinions. He clearly wants you to think like he thinks. Very boring as well.

1st word: Boring! he talks about very controversal things yet doesn't allow anyone to debate or talk about their opinion. Lots of reading from the text and smaller books...make sure you need the book 1st before buying it ahead of time. Huge waste of my time but had to take it for a theme. Make a friend so you can know when tests r & can skip class

I love Prof. Stewart. He is the most articulate and eloquent professor I've ever had. I could listen to him talk all day long. He really knows a lot about his topics, and the lectures are really interesting, unless some dope in class bogarts the discussion!

Dr. Stewart is a good teacher. His lectures are understandable. However, they are more of a class discussion... which is okay, except for the people that never shut up. As long as you read, you don't have to go to class. His tests and papers are straight out of the book, and not overly difficult.

Best lecturer I have had at Chico State so far. Assigns a good bit of readings, but if you attend all his lectures, pay attention, and take good notes you should have plenty of fuel for the in-class essays. If you skip class often, however, there's a good chance you'll get lost in the material.
