Professor Jackson was not a nice person. He wasn't helpful and he was rude and disrespectful. He even sometimes screamed at me. I had this professor for Fundamentals of GIS during the fall of 2005.

Not helpful in the least about map assignment. Not clear in expectations and certainly impatient about questions. Expects you to understand when he hasn't explained. Would not take for any other class ever and wouldn't recommend

WOW! I love Jackson. He is by far the most concerned teacher I have had at ecu. He always wants his students to do well on test. If you go to class you earn extra credit and he post the lectures on black board. I got a C in the class but I hate geography and didn't study.

I would not recommend taking this class with this professor. I totally agree he lacks clarity. I had a 79.5 and he absolutly would not give me an opportunity to raise my grade half a point. He rarely smiles or seems to be in a good mood. :-(

He has a bad attitude problem. He gets mad when students ask questions, and or he just gets mad over little stuff. He just needs to understand that it's college, not high school students. But the class is not that hard, 4 tests and the final is optional, no homework.

This has an okay setup. He bores you crazy with his lectures that you can read yourself and he takes attendance. Be parpared to feel stupid when you ask questions and be prepared to ask alot of questions about your map assignment. The final is the best part of the whole clss.

Class was not very demanding but he lacks clarity. I was in-between an A and a B, literally an 89.5, and he does not round up under any circumstances, even if you do attend class daily! I would not take him or any other class within this department ever. The dept. is disappointing and not helpful

Rodney Jackson was a fun teacher. He always wants you to do well on your tests and always helps you out. He is also damn hot so ladies if you want something sweet to look at while you learn this is the class to take.

Take this class. This man is really cool. He does takes attendance, but its only for the pepole on scholarships, so it doesnt effect your grade. All his powerpoint lectures are on blackboard. His test are also easy. Class is great w/ lots of extra credit.

He teaches like he was in the military sometimes. I think lecture notes were online. Not big on attendance. Very direct. Shows lots of notes on the projector, be prepared to write fast.
