Dr. Moshiri is hilarious, unapologetic & passionate about Econ. Lecture heavy - be prepared to take notes & pay attention to pass exams. He's always available after class but be warned that he expects your quality of understanding to be at an MBA level. Attendance matters so if you are late or absent, make sure to email/call him BEFORE class!!

This professor is passionate about the subject but his lectures are confusing and does not relate to the tests. All the tests and quizzes are online, hardly any of his lectures are on these online test/quizzes. Disrespects students who are trying to ask questions or just getting up to leave. Also he tells you to buy a book was not used.

Worst class I've ever taken in my entire life. No respect for students and very unhelpful. Lectures are pointless in comparison to exams which he doesn't even make himself. The exams are online and made by the book's publisher. Time limit for exams are unrealistic. I'm an A student and praying for a C...

Very brilliant professor, he can go off topic from time to time in his lectures but it is interesting. Make sure you read and thoroughly study for exams because the three exams make up your entire grade. I definitely could have received a better grade, but I bombed my first exam.

Horrible professor. He is very impressed with himself and will make sure he tells you how superior his opinion is to yours and that he could not possibly be unprepared for class. Don't bother asking questions, he will wave them off dismissively and speak to you in a very derogatory tone. If you know anything about Econ, seek a different prof.

To put it mildly: temperamental, opinionated, dismissive, insecure, arrogant, and unprofessional. I do not recommend him at all. Save yourselves time and money and avoid this taking this class with him. If you want to really learn something of value in Economics do NOT take this class with him.

Moshiri is the best professor! He is very helpful, funny, intelligent & makes a boring topic interesting. He plays favorites & appreciates good manners. Offers very generous office hours & gives great advice. Tests are self explanatory. Study & you can get a A. If you struggle & ask for help he is very helpful & will do anything to help you get it.

Dr. Shane is a GREAT teacher. It's obvious he has a passion for the subject. He is funny, and he engages the class with good discussion. It's not an easy A, but no GOOD teacher is! This is Pepperdine - its suppose to challenge you! Read the material, study the workbook sections he asks, and show up to class. You'll learn something!

Moshiri is the worst professor ever in this school. The lectures were really confusing and you would learn nothing in this class. Even worse, the exam and quiz he gave was totally nothing to do with his lectures. If you don't want to waste time and money, avoid him.

I like Prof Moshiri! I had him for 591 + 602 and generally he explains things well although sometimes he gets confusing or goes off topic. Really hate the all MCQ exams- the answers are unclear- but material for them is straight from the text & very similar to practice ?s. People complain about him but if you work your butt off you can get an A.

Not a good professor. The lecture he gave really confused the whole class. Even worse, the exam he gave us even beyond the coverage in his lecture. Totally no idea about this class. He taught several classes this session, and he even confused himself what process for each class.

This is a difficult subject for most to grasp. Moshiri's lectures provides a very detailed, easy to follow format to learning the concepts and theories. Read chapters & answer chapter questions prior to class, review notes=you'll do fine.

Straightforward class but not easy. Prof. Moshiri is a good teacher. Take notes and fill in what he misses by reading the text. He does throw a curveball or two by pulling test questions from alternate textbooks.

He is very into his lectures and the class itself is not boring. His exams are extremly difficult and his lectures end confusing you. The book is what you need to have a chance to pass because you leave your class thinking you understand the material then the exams hit you like a ton of brick.

I found professor Moshiri to be a passionate instructor regarding economics. He tries very hard to remove his bias from the lectures and to keep it fact-based. It was also refreshing to have an instructor NOT use PowerPoint. He really knows his stuff. Tests weren't too bad either. Just study and pull your weight and you'll ace it!

Takes notes, read book and ask questions. He his a good professor. Draws you graphs and interprets them. Does not do PPT becouse students dont learn. He expects you to ask if you dont understand, is available before class. Had awful Econ professor 2nd trimstr but Moshiri is good. Our class asked many questions we were not Econ majors and he helped.

Dr. Moshiri is worth his weight in gold. He really knows his material and has a way of articulating it and connecting it to current events so that it's easier to relate to and it keeps you engaged. He expects you to work hard. But, the amount of material he covers, you will be glad he did at the end, because it enlightens and empowers you.

Worst professor I've had at Graziadio. He dumbs down the material to insulting levels, then tells his students that he intentionally made it easier. He's a complete bore and teaches so little material that you wonder if he actually knows anything other than what he read in the book that week. Awful AWFUL professor. Avoid him at all costs!!!
