He is a very good professor. He lectures every class but makes it funny and not too bad. He gives you all the notes at the beginning of the year so you really don't have to take many. His test are difficult and you really need to study and think deeply. We do projects in this class that aren't too hard.

Great teacher, he made educational psychology enjoyable. He cares for your grade and wants everyone to succeed. He has you write a couple papers that he basically gives you an A if done correctly. The tests aren't that bad, gives a study guide. My best piece of advice is to study the book vocab words in depth then look over the notes in class.

Professor Briscoe is a very nice and caring professor. He will try his best to give you the grade you need. Tests are pretty easy and there are a few papers throughout the semester. His grading is not very clear but he is always available to discuss. Only thing negative I can say is his attendance is mandatory and will be upset if you don't show up

The lectures are sort of long and he gets off task really easily. Most of the time we were trying to play catch up on our own. The tests are sort of difficult so you'll need to study for them. The good thing that he does is that he always grades with a curve, except for the final.

His class was okay. There was good days and bad days. He sometimes gets off on tangents that have nothing to do with the lecture, which makes him push back the tests. That's not a bad thing at first, but when you're only one chapter 7 and there are 12 chapters that are going to be on the final, you start to stress out a little. An okay professor.

Dr. Briscoe is a professor who is passionate about his work and his students, but he attempts to pass off his opinion on education as fact which gets frustrating. His lectures are entertaining and he does provide a copy of his lecture notes, but he jumps all over the place and his point often gets muddled. Don't feel like I learned much of anything

Dr. Briscoe was awesome!! His class is centered around this idea that we're "teachers in training" rather than just students and respects us as such. He's very funny, helpful and lively. He even made the 8 am I had with him bearable. Take his class!!

Dr. Briscoe is hands down, one of the best professors to teach at IUP. Tests were curved and I was of "Average Performance"... that's a "B" to you and I. I did well on his projects and ended up with an "A" for the course. TAKE HIM OVER ALL OTHER EDSP477 PROFESSORS!

I didn't take a regular education class from him, but he did teach the CUSP class for the summer. I really enjoyed his class. He's very passionate, and I really took to heart about how to study in college and what I need to do to get organized in the class. He knows how a student can be successful in college, and it's really helpful.

Dr. Briscoe is the the nicest guy! He's a great teacher, and knows his subject super well. The class is not work intensive, but the tests are difficult. Read your book! If you get an A on all of the papers, you'll get an A in the class, even if you fail all the tests. He gets a little side tracked when talking about diversity. But, TAKE HIM!

Dr. Briscoe is HILARIOUS. Assignments are work-intensive, but not actually hard. Tests are a little rough, but the final is online and open book. I failed every in-class test (I'm talk like, 50%) and still got an A in the class. 8am's suck, but he makes going to class worth it.

Easiest class I have ever taken! Just show up and get an A. Very little work and only met for class 7 times all semester! Dr. Briscoe is a nice guy and loves what he does. He cares a ton for his students. I would advise taking classes with him.

This is my all time favorite professor. I graduated in 2006 but I still keep in touch. He is my mentor. Extremely helpful and supportive. Knows his stuff and wants you to know yours. Study every single night and be able to apply what you have learned. It's a tough class. But AWESOME! Cares about his students. He still checks on my peers and me.

He is the best professor. All you have to do is go to class and you will be entertained and educated. One of the best of not the best professors I have ever had. He tells you what needs to be done to get an A in his course and he means it.
