Haro is a really great guy, you can definitely tell he wants students to learn. Assignments are time consuming but very much doable if you read the texts for help. He is always willing to help. Tests are very fair but the final is awfully hard. Overall one of my favorite classes I've taken!

Great teacher, was very easy to understand. Gave a lot of information and you will need a lot of time to study ahead of the tests. Exams are very reasonable but they have a lot of content from various classes and phylums.

Make sure to do the online quizzes! They're only 10 pts each, but forgetting them accumulates. His tests can be kind of hard, but studying and REREADING the text really helps! Go to class whenever possible, because his lectures cover alot, and review the reading material. The lectures are a MUST if you plan on not reading the text.

He's good at what he does, but he tends to squeeze too much information in not enough time, making it hard to follow.

No homework is due, but the tests are definitely very difficult. It's very necessary to read the book. He does help you if you need it, but there is still a lot to know. His tests are a lot of application, not memorization.

He grades way too hard on the short answers on the tests and the group assignments. He doesn't explain his expectations very well. Takes a while to get used to his class. I wouldn't recommend him.

HORRIBLE PROF. The class was super hard and he sometimes didn't explain things well. Case in point, the average score on the final exam for my class was a 56%. Definitely take someone else if you can.
