Comment:
Kashlak is hilarious and makes the class interesting, but the material itself is challenging and he's a hard grader. You should take notes on what he says during class, buy the cases but not the textbook. There are multiple group projects, presentations, and papers so pick a good group

Love this guy, he's pretty funny and a great professor. The only thing I didn't like was there aren't a ton of grades. Just a group project and the exams. So just make sure you study the notes from class because that's what the exams are based on, never uses the textbook either. Would highly recommend him.

Kashlak makes his lectures very interesting so it makes the class seem a lot more exciting. Few case studies throughout the semester (pretty much everyone got a B+/A-) and then one midterm, group paper, and final. Overall not that much work. Taking notes is a most because he doesn't work off a powerpoint, so exams are all based on the lectures.

Great professor and great guy. Lectures are hard to follow and it can be hard to take notes. But take as many notes as you can they'll help on the exams. Exams are all essay. He grades tough but use examples from class.

Nicest professor at Loyola. 2 tests (short answeressay) , 1 group paper, and 4 cases throughout the semester. He's all over the place in class, but try to follow along as best you can and take notes. He never uses the book, but if you have any questions he's more than willing to help. Treats everyone like grown-ups, he'll be there if you need him

Definitely one of my favorites at Loyola. Very funny and incredibly intelligent but can still joke around with the students. He has an amazing ability to speak about every topic that is around him and it leads to some pretty hilarious class time.

Prof. Kashlak is a very kind and charismatic man. His lectures are a little all over the place and can be boring and hard to pay attention. But take notes! They will help you. 1 midterm 1 final and four small case study write ups. One group project/presentation at end. Not too much work but don't leave it till the last minute!

Kashlak is the heart and soul of Loyola. If you need to take IB282 for your business core requirements, you would be foolish not to take this class.

Guy is the man. Very energetic/enthusiastic. Spends the first 15 mins of class talking to students about current events, etc. Loves Loyola and loves teaching. As for the actual class, attendance isnt mandatory, I often left wondering why I had even gone. He goes into rants that go nowhere sometimes, but find good notes and study those. take him

Need to integrate class notes and text to do well and possibly get an A. He's brilliant but you need to listen closely and connect the dots. Even getting a B or less, it's a fun class. Take him.

Only study the notes. Don't bother with the textbook. He gives you only a couple assignments throughout the semester so you actually have time to learn unlike many professors who overload you with work. His real world experiences really add flavor to the class. You can learn a lot from Dr. Kashlak in this class. Easy to get a B, tough to get an A.

Very good class even if it is the largest class - over 60 students - on campus. Blend of practical and theortical. Need to study notes and text for the exams.

Kashlak is one of the best professors I have ever had. He's extremely smart but also very fun and quirky. He spends the first 15 minutes of class letting students tell him interesting things about what is going on in the world. He teaches the material pretty scattershot but if you read the text before the tests they are not that hard.

Tough tests. Fair grader though. Take notes and integrate issues. Good arguments on test questions get better grades than memorization.

Brilliant! Goes from Niels Bohr to Macbeth's Duncan in one sentence in order to explain international business. And approachable as he seems to be on campus 24/7.

Kashlak is an amusing professor and keeps things interesting. I personally like the material which helps. Read the case studies and pay attention in class and you don't need to read the book at all even though he wrote part of it. Also, incorporate what you learn into the writing assignments and be thorough and you should have no problems.

Kashlak is awesome! He is extremely funny, and keeps class interesting. He's all over the place though with notes. If you read the case studies, participate, and study the notes carefully for the midterm and final, you will do well.
