Rohana is one of the best acsc profs at uofc. Make sure to review exam sample questions from the CAS exam 5 for the final. His exams aren't that bad if you don't skip class. Overall, really caring prof and reasonable exams!

If you spent 50mins self study everyday rather than listening to him, you will learn better and more. I don't think he teaches us as much as he tests. I'll try to avoid him if I could, but the truth is its impossible to avoid his class if you want to graduate. U of C only has like 5 profs are teaching all the acsc courses

This is the worst prof I've ever had. He reminds me of one of those middle school substitute teachers who is fresh off the boat and can't comprehend anything in English. It is unbelievable that a school like U of C would even consider hiring him. Avoid this prof at all costs because you are pretty much guaranteed a C grade or lower.

Horrible, horrible professor. Has some level of understanding of the course, but is awful at teaching it. You can't count on him to show up for appointments, and he rarely responds to emails. Avoid him if at all possible.

Horrible professor. Attended class and for the first week he spends entire time learning how to use his own computer and overhead. Unclear instructions, no response to emails, minimal help. The textbook is more clear than him.

Not a bad guy, but he is totally lazy and unorgaized. He didn't reply to my email, and he still hasn't curved grades like he said he would a month ago. He tends to mumble, and classes are really lame. I still went almost always, and you can do ok if you just use youtube and the textbook. All assessments were very easy.

If you don't keep up with the material, you will not be able to follow in class - the classes supplement the book, not the other way around. More importantly, he is an extremely kind man and will always go the extra mile to help you during office hours.

He is a really nice guy. He has an accent which makes him almost incomprehensible from time to time. But if you do pay attention to his examples and do practice questions in the textbook, you'd be fine.

He's a nice guy, but he seemed very disorganized. He cancelled at least ten lectures throughout the semester. His style of teaching constitutes writing down the formulas and solving problems which later appear on his exams with the numbers changed slightly. This is fine if you want an easy course, but not if you want to understand the material.

Teaching: Organized and well explained. he's glad to clear anything up and takes time to reexplain things in class. Manages to make stats not very boring, it is stats after all. Quizzes and midterm are fair, final is pretty hard. You won't regret taking his course, good prof!

I'm not sure what everyone sees in Rohana that I don't... But he's a great prof. Sure, he jumps around a bit and takes some shortcuts. But if you read the text and review your notes, his classes are a guaranteed A- or better. The one complaint I would have is that he doesn't really prepare students for SOA exams thoroughly (buy a study manual!).

Terrible Prof. He is very confusing and makes a ton of mistakes. With that being said if you sort out what he means the class and his quizzes are quite easy (the quizzes are the same questions as the class examples rewarded). He is also nice in regards to letting you writing make up quizzes and seems to want everyone to do well.
