Basically a self taught class. It's on MyITLab. Read the chapters, watch the tutorials, and it's an easy A.

He is not very helpful when you have questions. It's basically a computer program teaching you the whole semester with very little feedback. But, if you do the simulations before you do the projects you will be good because it teaches you step by step instructions on how to perform each task.

This class uses MyIT Lab. If you don't know Office, make sure you use the skill based training before each assignment, it takes you step by step and you'll pass with no problem. The system automatically grades you so if it's late it's an automatic 0. Each assignment takes about 45 min and there's about 3-4 each week. do not take during summer!

Uses MyItLab. Doesn't teach the class. Have to teach yourself. If you have experience with a computer, you are still going to struggle. Not helpful at all and he will tell you to email him. Waits till the last minute when grades are due to import grades from MyItLab to gradebook. Messed up my grade/got a C. Fixed it, and got my A that I worked for.

Horrible professor! Do not take this professor unless you are willing to learn on your own. I believe he doesn't even know what was going on in the classroom. Whenever you need help he either tells you to call "tech support" or just read the textbook. Grade said an A overall 90, but he entered a C for the final. Worst professor I've ever had!

I have had professor Greenwald the past two semesters: one on campus and the other online. I think he's fantastic... clear and straight to the point. May not be the most entertaining, but we're talking computer programming here -- not much goofing around in that department. I would definitely take him again.

The book chosen for this class is very difficult to understand and the professor is not offering alternatives or outside resources to help comprehension with Java. Fairly useless... I thought teachers were supposed to teach, not assign a terrible book to us and sit back.

This class was the schools test run for using MyITLab as the online CGS1100 course. Some people complained of myitlab not working properly, but mine worked fine once I followed the downloading instructions. Class was an easy A with 1-2hours work over the summer. I finished it already when semester aint over for 3 more weeks and got easy A.

Online, express class. Can't really say that he is a bad teacher but the way this class is taught is completely WRONG! Obscure questions about features in Microsoft programs that no one cares if you know the name in the real world. I've taken programming & networking classes that were easier & I have 15 years of tech experience. TAKE WITH CAUTION!!

I had an extreme intrest in learning VB.net and when I started this class just reading the syllabus made me regret taking it. I took it as an 8 week online course and the teacher gave 16 hours worth of homework a week, refused to answer questions, and the assignments rarely followed the book, and if it wasn't for other students I would have failed.

This was is an online setting; very Little Help from this Professor! This is a self-taught class. The assignments do NOT correspond with the book. Do not ask this Prof. for help - find a student who has programming exp. and work with them. Prof will NOT help you.

If you are good with Computers (Microsoft Office) this should be an easy class. He is pretty laid back although you may not think so in first few weeks. He seems very mean and intimidating at first but he really isn't. Tests and homework can be done at home for my blended class. Test pretty hard but you can find ways to pass them.

He isn't as bad as people make him seem. He spends most of the time on the computer and is extremely quiet, but if you need his help, he'll help you. You just need to holler at him. His class was a easy A.

Firstly, this is the only instructor at SPC that teaches COP2250, so if you want to learn Java you're stuck with him. Secondly, the presentation of this class is so poor, it can hardly be called a class. This instructor offers no support to learning the language. He has no videos, only course forum. You're on your own with this guy. He's not clear.

This class is an easy A. All assignments and tests are pulled straight out of the book. if you're taking lecture, you might want to reconsider because you will do nothing in class. He doesn't lecture much. His instructions and requirements are made perfectly CLEAR. Overall it's a really easy class.
