For the record, I'm a recent grad. THIS PROFESSOR TAUGHT ME HOW TO THINK. If you don't take ANYTHING ELSE from this class, take away that you, by the end of it, will KNOW HOW TO THINK FOR YOURSELF and make EDUCATED decisions, or, at least, SWAGs. He's difficult, yes. But I can gaurantee that if you put a little bit into his classes, you will take so much more back. Even if you aren't a business major, you should take a class with Vickroy.

This is by far the best prof I have ever had. This class really helps you apply what you have learned in the last 4 years. The WSJ quizes were a pain but very useful in retrospect. His voices for stories are hilarious also. AWESOME course and prof. You won't want to skip, I NEVER missed a class.

Take Vickroy if you can. He is by far the best ptofessor on this campus. His grading is pretty tough and he does grade on things like grammer and spelling. Teaches the academic side of the class..then teaches through application. I am a management major and Vickroy is my advisor. Great Prof.

I am a '04 grad and have to say that Mr. V is one of the best UPJ has. Without him I don't think mgmt. dept. would be as much fun. His classes were to die for. Tough yet well worth the effort. The only calss that bring the real world into a classroom. Everyone should take Soc. issues.

I'm an 02 grad, and I can honestly say that I thought that I was done for in Social Issues. Mr. V keeps the class very interesting and upbeat. You never want to skip. I didn't miss any Social Issues classes (I always skipped other classes). My hat goes off to Mr. V. Keep it up.

Good luck if he doesnt like you. He doesnt like to give perfects on his essays. All of the tests have essays, some of which are worth 20 points each. Class was early in the morning and you missed 5 points each class you missed.

I am an 01 graduate but had to say Mr. Vickroy is the best teacher. I still have contact with him after college and he is a great influence in my life. I use the info I learned in the real world and throughout my MBA courses. Take his class and pay attn cause you dont want to miss a thing!

Vick is the best prof in the business dept. Its between him and Mcgrath but this is just one of those classes you dont skip. You want to go. If vickroy wasnt teaching the business program would be WEAK. Hard though but its worth it. What you get out of his classes makes your grades meaningless.

I just found this site. I grad. from UPJ in April 1994. The FIRST person I thought of / wanted to rate is Mr. Vickroy! So, I hope that the inference is easy to make: he was THE best prof. I had while obtaining my BA and second best instructor I've ever had. He was easy to learn from and truly cared.
