This teacher really understands about learning. If you are going to class just to get a lecture and take a test don't go. Class discussion was engaging and provided a TON of insight. I know I learned more from this teacher than any other this semester! And nothing you would find simply from a text book.

If you do good in a class full of lectures, this is a great class to have. He gave us quizzes on the lectures every week and had a big assignment due at the end. He was a very entertaining speaker, and if you were up to listening, you would learn something.

The class is good. However the teacher is less than impressive. He is only there to give his own opinions. He doesn't require class attendance so I wouldnt waist my time. His class "discussions" serve no purpose and are just a time for him to share is ideas about life. He finds joy in not getting to know his students. Tests every other day.

I loved taking this class. As long as you read each chapter thoroughly and ask questions in class, you should be able to get a good grade. He sometimes lets you take quizzes in a different way if you can justify it using the theory you are studying.

This class is all about what you put into it. Jacques is there as guide and resource to those wishing to pursue counseling. He allows you to struggle, but the struggle is good because it allows you to really think for yourself. His teaching style allows for the most personal growth of any professor I've taken. I enjoyed attending this class.

I learned so much from this course; not simply about psychology, but life in general. If you decide to take this class, be ready to question everything you have ever learned, for this class is challenging in realms other than academia. Helped to me to realize whether or not the counseling profession was right for me! Best class & teacher ever!!!
