Homeworks (A LOT) only there to hurt you. They don't count for any grade but will drop one letter grade if you don't do them as what he expected. Tests are not difficult but the wording is horrible, and won't give particle credit. You have to attend the class although you can do almost everything at home with a video.

Hibbeler is a great man. easy to talk to in class. He really cares about his students. His class is tough because you have to put in a lot of time and work, however his tests are easy if you understand what you are doing. He puts a lot of resources out there. you have to keep up in his class with the HW. no partial credit on tests. read the book!!!

Took hibbeler for statics and dynamics. He is a very knowledgable person but he does not teach in class. He assigns videos that he made for you to watch and teach yourself the lessons, which i thought was very useful and effective. If you are not good at teaching yourself, you will have a hard time. Tests are 10 questions and no partial credit.

Dr. Hibbler's class is definitely an experience. He is a great teacher but it is his way or the highway. If you're used to being spoon-fed your grades you need to change your expectations because he will make you learn or you won't pass, there isn't much of a middle ground. He also wrote the book which is an incredible resource for the class.

Dr. Hibbeler doesn't compromise. His classes will toughen you up, and the experience will benefit you long after you've forgotten about torsion and cantilever beams (I took him several years ago). Also, you can brag, because most engineers (all over the world) have used his books.

Difficult man to deal with. There is no doubt he knows the topic; however he does not convey the knowledge well. Tests have no partial credit, but the first 4 come straight out of the book. Do all the fundamental problems and you can get an easy A or B on the fist tests. Bank those points, you will need them.

Test are almost every Monday, and homework is due every class. Easier to teach it to yourself then to pay attention in class where you just become confused. Sit next to someone who has retaken the class, there are tons of them, syllabus is only good for homework. Test dates change constantly and there are 10 extra tests not on the syllabus.

Doctor Hibbeler is the man. If you're looking for a walk in the park, then don't take his classes and also don't become an engineer. Hibbeler does require a lot from his students, but he makes his expectations clear. Chances are, you won't like him when you're in his class, but you'll want to be just like him when you're finished. My favorite prof!

hibbeler is not that great of a teacher. His test are hard. He says they are straight from the book when they are really not and harder than the book. When in class and you have a question about an "easy dog" problem HE WONT ANSWER IT! Gives a ton of home work for no credit. When he's says two more test left he really means 5.... No bonus points.

His classes require a ton of work, but you will not regret it. I am a practicing engineer in Houston and work with UT, A&M, and even MIT graduates. I can thank Hibbeler for giving me the tools and knowledge to be very well respected among my colleagues. I survived Dynamics and Mechanics in the same semester with him getting an A and high B.

Excellent teacher. His classes aren't the easiest but he makes them as easy as they can be. The tests have no partial credit but that's just intensive to actually learn the material. If you legitimately do the homework, you'll be fine. Get to know him as well, he may call on you in class and joke with you, but he'll remember you and help you out.

Hibbeler is an amazing professor. Yes, his classes are rather hard but so is engineering. He does more than any other professor to help you. Assigns a lot of homework but if you do it you'll be fine. He does it to help you. Get to know the guy, make you face know. He'll bump you up if you're in those C/B, etc. regions at the end if you do.

I had him for Statics, Dynamics, and Mechanics. I advise to take another teacher for Mechanics if possible. Rushes way too quickly through the material. Too many people dropped the class and are failing right now. Regardless if you know the material or not, no partial credit. If you are a bad test taker, stay away from his classes. That's about it.

This guy really knows engineering. I had him for statics, dynamics and mechanics of materials, but I wish I'd had anyone else. His books are very helpful. The tests come mostly from fundamental problems. Be ready for insane amounts of homework that is very hard and will not even help you pass the tests. If you can take somebody else DO IT

Have fun sitting in class all week rushing through material then giving up your weekends to learn it yourself for a test every monday. You will turn in more problems a week for this class then all other courses and it won't help your grade. Tests are the only grade you have. Godspeed.

This is the teacher to take for Statics. I currently have him for Mechanics and Dynamics. Definitely not recommended to have him twice a semester, unless you have the time for it. Lots of work, but manageable. He is sarcastic and will make you laugh.. I advise you to pay attention, because he likes to call people out. It's great. Tests every week.

This professor is overrated...a word to the wise if you are in mechanical engineering. 2/3 of is mechanics class will drop or retake the course, and u most likely have to take him more than 3 times because its almost impossible to pass statics, dynamics, and mechanics on the first try with him. That is unless you have no life and no job. God Speed
