Comment:

Prof. Fuller is the sweetest man to walk this earth!! His class is so easy to pass: take reasonable notes, and use Quizlet before the tests. There are a couple important historic dates we fill in, term fill in WITH A WORD BANK, and an "essay" that can't go over a full page. TAKE HIS CLASS you won't fail. I support him and his jokes so much!!

Fuller is a sweet guy but his class was very boring for me. You go to a lecture for an hour and a half then leave. Thats it. And the whole course is based off of 2 midterms and a final. if you skip this class make sure you get the notes. tests are average. Pretty easy class if you study and understand the material.

Just go to class. That's why you guys don't like him. It's a core class, but you need to pay attention. It's that simple. Pay attention, all the test questions are the major points of his lectures. You don't even need to go home and read. GO TO CLASS. This man is smart and very adorable. Bonus, if you pay attention you'll catch his jokes.

It's difficult to consider Dr. Fuller as an expert in any upper division course when he has a non-active research program and un-impressive recent publication record. One would expect more from someone who regards himself in such high esteem.

Dr. Fuller is extremely condescending. For some reason, he assumes that his degree from Harvard is impressive and should be viewed as an indicator of his intelligence. Nothing is worse than an unimpressive professor from an impressive institution. One wonders why he is such a "superior"professor at USD if it is such an inferior institution.

He came highly recommended to me by a friend. His tests are unreasonably difficult, and he grades them arbitrarily. I can tell that he's educated in this area, but he's not very nice. Has lame, punny jokes, though, so that helps.

Comment:

People saying he's a tough grader must not show up to class or give no effort. This class is very straightforward, no hmk, 2 midterms and 1 final. Half is fill in the blank half is a short essay. Sure you have to memorize vocabulary and dates for the test but thats it. You don't really have to go to class but I really enjoy his lectures!!

Hes clearly very knowledgeable about the subject (biblical studies), he just expects you to be as knowledgeable as him. I thought I aced the first exam and ended up getting a B. Hes not mean, he just grades meticulously. Doesnt take attendance.

Only grades in class are three tests, no homework or essays which is nice. If you show up and pay attention you will do well. I didn't study at all outside of class except I went to his office hours every week and just asked him what the key points were in class, he told me exactly what I needed to know and I got an A with almost no effort.

Fuller's class is very repetitive, you show up, he gives a lecture the whole class and you leave. You are only graded on 2 tests and a final. It is a little boring but not terrible. The best word to describe his class is "fine".

Dr. Fuller is an awesome professor if you are genuinely interested in the subject matter. He primarily focuses on the Old Testament because that is his area of specialty but also goes through the New Testament. His exams are detail-oriented; you have to know biblical dates, theories, vocab, etc. Confused? Just ask him, he is helpful if you ask.

I took bib studies with him during intersession. He's a bit boring and has a dry sense of humor. Tests compose of memorizing dates, fill in the blank, and short essay (you pick one out of 5 to write on). The fill in the blank vocab is super hard and requires so much memorization. Overall, pretty average professor.

If you're a cheater you need to take this class. If you're not a cheater, you should still take this class and cheat. Dr. Fuller requires you to do lots of memorization, but you can just write it all in your bible, which he lets you use during the exam.

In order to understand the exam questions you must write detailed notes and cannot miss class. In order to get a good grade on the essay you must research ahead of time and use lots of sources. No homework but assigns readings from textbook which will only help you on exams. Always asks if anyone is confused or has any questions during lecture.

He acts like the tests are straightforward, but they are not. Always grades essays very hard! I thought this class would be pretty easy, but this was the hardest class I've taken in my three years here. Helpfulness in office hours depended on his mood, sometimes he was nice and other times he literally did not want to help at all. STAY AWAY!

Comment:

Class is all lectures and sometimes some movies. This class actually made me interested in religion. Tests are quick and simple: fill in the blank and short essay. He's extremely clear all the time and is very helpful in class and office hours. Has dry sense of humor but he jokes a fair amount. Make sure to take notes they'll save you on the tests!

Hard class for me but Professor Fuller is SO interested in his field that it makes the class interesting! He is the most knowledgeable man I have ever met. Tests are lecture based + memorizing dates.

Comment:

Professor Fuller is a good teacher. The best way to get an A or a B is to come to class! I never did the reading assignments. What we go over in class is what is on the tests. Pay attention and you will get a good grade. He is always open to questions and is willing to help!
