Thanks to this professor I was able to study the more unusual aspects of history that I am interested in. I was pushed to work harder, to formulate clear ideas, and to focus. Most found him frustrating. Do not take unless you care passionately about history AND historiography.

Monhollon doesn't take crap from students yet he doesn't accept others opinions as well. He is very interested in teaching and makes it exciting, but he expects alot. He isn't a bad teacher but i wouldn't like to have him again.

He is the most awesome professor I have had in my College carreer. He truely cares about his students and how well they do. He makes history fun and makes come alive. He is part of the reason why I choose to do History as a second major.

Monhollon is awesome!!! He is very interested in everyone's opinions and encourages others to have different perspectives in class. The only thing is that some of his tests seem to pull out the most random information from the book, but he is a great lecturer and a great teacher!

Monhollon doesn't understand how teaching works. He doesn't lecture on the material, he simply gives out the answers and refuses to have intelligent conversation. He tells students they are wrong after saying history is all about perspective.
