Moral Disagreements - I am a rising senior who took this class as a freshman, and it was by the far the most useful class I have taken at Duke. I have applied the skills that Bardon taught me to every class that I have taken since then. She will make you a better writer, no matter how good you are now. Take this class if you want to write well.

Excellent teacher. Very helpful. Lenient in terms of extensions. However, expect to work hard and get a bad grade in the first few assignments. But she seems to grade less harshly later on and your final grade would be good.

She really loves teaching, and it shows. She will do anything in her power to help out a student; her goal is to improve your writing, not judge you. She's pretty lenient when it comes to turning in papers late, and although she does challenge you, its almost always to your benefit- this class will really help you out.
