I think he is a good teacher. He is however a brutal grader if you do not write the correct way of writing a proof. But it is with reason that whats wrong is wrong. He is sometimes unapproachable though, and when someone asks dumb questions he will disregard them. But overall he is always nice.

I think he's a great teacher! As long as you come to class and pay attention, he's really good at explaining things. At times he can seem unapproachable because he'll shove off questions that he sees as unimportant or unnecessary, but in actuality he's really nice and open to questions on an individual basis. I would definitely take him again!

He's really nice and super helpful/approachable with questions. He eats/sleeps/breathes math, and can be entertaining. His tests are reasonable, as long as you attend class and push to understand the lecture. You really don't need the book. All of the test questions come from the lecture. Cool guy. I would take one of his classes again!

Overall a fair teacher. Tests are reasonable, material is covered in seminar. He is an interesting guy & funny at times. Homework definitely helps on tests. He can go off on a history tangent though, but it's pretty interesting. Show up, do the homework, ask questions if you need to & you will get an A

He speak very clear so you will have no problem understanding what he is lecturing on. Too bad for me, I screw up on the first exam thinking I won't have to study much. And I screw up taking this class for an elective cuz its a PROVE class! I decided to stop attending to save my other 2 math classes from sinking.

First off, he looks like Gandhi and Einstein put together! Really great at teaching, but was pretty harsh on the tests and on students he though were dumb. Best math professor I've ever had.

First off, Watson is a math genius who loves everything to do with math. He's a really good lecturer but on tests, he grades pretty harshly. Studying is a necessity to do well. If you go to classes/activity sessions and give a good amount of effort, you'll do fine.

I took him for 233, 310, and 361A. I try to take him every semester. He is one of the few math professors who really cares about the students actually learning the math and the logic behind it. If you want to survive upper division math classes, you should take him for 361 and 233.I've never rated a professor before, but he's so wonderful I had to.

He is the best professor I have ever had. He is an amazing lecturer, gives homework that prepares you for the test and furthers your understanding of the subject. Anyone who says he is a bad instructor was struggling in his class, so they are blaming him for their issues.
