It is hard to keep up with his lectures. Not the best teacher. Statistics is, however, self-explanatory so I was able to teach myself. He mostly gives out B's. I passed the first two exams and held a B-average but bombed the final, like seriously bombed the living crap out of it. Still got a B...

It is hard to keep up with this guy during lecture. Not the best teacher, however, statistics is kind of self-explanatory so I learned everything on my own. He gives out mostly B's and his curve is huge. I passed the first two exams and held a B-average and totally bombed the final, like bombed the living crap out of it... I still got a B.

I did well in the class yet I didn't learn a whole lot from attending class. His handwriting isn't very clear and he isn't too interesting of a speaker. For the exams you are allowed a fairly large cheat sheet and the questions on the exam are slightly altered from those in the book. Not too difficult of a class.

How I pulled a B in the class I do not know.I received a D on the 1st exam, A on the 2nd and I'm pretty sure failed the final. However he curves is HUGE! I would only suggest taking him if you have extremely good patience, and believe in the power of prayer. Unless you Ace everything you will not know your grade until he posts them on Locus!

Well my report is biased because I took at stats class my senior year that was the exact same as this, but still, this class can be really easy. 87% is an A. Doesnt give minuses, unless bumping you up from a B+ if he likes you. Oh yeah, and that 87% is AFTER the curve. Lets just say that I am the one everyone in class hates for setting that curve

he makes things sound harder than it really is. don't waste too much time in class trying to understand him, just do the reading yourself he will just make thing more confusing for you. his exams aren't so bad, he curves then usually. his grading scale is VERY low so you cant really do bad in his class. there's hw he collects and 3 exams.

Willing to help you, even with dumb questions. I was not interested in the subject at all, but he made it as painless as it could be. Taught in a way that applied directly to the business world, rather than just in theoretical terms.

his lectures are a bit backwards and his notes on the board are always a mess. dont have to go to class, just do the hmwrk and see him if you have questions. he is very accessible. expects students have a certain knowledge of the material prior to the course.

If you are good with statistics, this class won't be a problem. You don't have to go to class, but make sure you somewhat keep up, because it's a pain trying to learn all the info on your own at the end. Class just based on three tests, really helpful with examples if you bring questions to class.

He is a very nice man and has a good heart. Pretty easy-going and will make the effort to help u if u need it. His grading scale is awesome plus he curves. His classes are boring and everything on the test is based off the hw so u dont need to go to class. But i recommend going to his office hours and having a chat every now and then.

Well, this man rambles on and on about nothing the entire class. The material is difficult and his lectures dont help much on reinforcing the material. If you arent good at math/stats, stay far away from this man. Its not too difficult to get a C otherwise

the material for the course is hard. if u listen to him in class it just gets more confusing. just do the hw and when he lets u, use a sheet of notes write down the examples of the hw. the material does get a lot harder as it goes along but just ignore him in class and do the hw and u can get a C/B

Great man, but not too great of a teacher. Chicken scratch is hard to read my friends! Material is inherently difficult, but he's willing to help you out. I took him for 2.5 hr class, and it was the hardest 2.5 hrs of each week...to stay interested...I tried to follow him, but found my mind drifting easily. Great man...avoid 2.5 hrs if possible!

He is a great professor and a very sweet man. He uses coke examples a lot.The material is inherently difficult, so following it makes it hard. I would suggest reading the material before class to understand it (which is what he suggests). Overall, long class, but I still loved it. Very intelligent prof who does not hesitate to assist his students

great guy, really nice, curves the tests and 88+ is an A. just read the book and do hw (even if u do it all the nite before each test - thats how i did it and got an A). dont have to go to class that much. i've got a lot of respect for this prof. if he seems unclear, its just cuz listening about stats is boring so u cant follow.

He is not the really interesting, but what do u expect from a statistcian. Nobody goes to class regularly, the book is good enough to pass i guess. I do attend everyday and I think he tries but you have to really drink alot of coffee and read your book before class to follow his lectures.

TOUGH PROF but he knows his stuff. I struggled a lot and would have done A LOT better if I had gone to more offic hours however I always went to class and the information was still VERY unclear. He usually has a good curve but you can't rely on it. I would take him again only as a last resort, i'm sure there are easier teachers

this prof isn't exactly the greatest lecturer, but an A is obtainable if you read the book. don't even go to class because he will confuse you.if you do go to class, make sure you read the book before the class period, so you can participate and understand what is going on. just read the book and take the test..you'll be fine. a very caring prof!
