Sarah is very passionate about the subject. You won't like her classes if you aren't willing to work hard, learn the material, and listen in class. She is a wealth of information, you will learn a lot from her. Sometimes disorganized, but it's worth putting up with to benefit from her knowledge and experience!

Sarah is one of my favorite professors at WWU& her 410 specifically is in my top 5. she is knowledgable, gives amazing & interactive lectures where she will pass out genuine artifacts every lecture to further illustrate her points, we even spent and entire class period grinding & sawing on bone/wood/shell to see what grinding wear looks like!

She is the hardest grader I have ever had even when she says that assignments will be graded easy since it is a learning curve and she hasn't taught us anything. She also doesn't base your grade off any of your assignments she gives you a grade at the end. You could have a C+ and end up failing or getting an A and you won't know till final grades.

Sarah, is a wonderful professor in my opinion. While she is somewhat poorly organized, she still manages to communicate the important details concisely. If you show up to designated lab times, turn in your work, and actually utilize some critical thinking skills, this class is a blast. Don't procrastinate on working on the annotated bib though.

Good teacher, exceptionally intelligent, and with incredible knowledge inside and outside her field. A little chaotic in lecture organization but covers all the material very well.

One of the most brilliant professors I have ever had. Provides inordinately detailed feedback on assignments, even if it does take a while to get them back. There is a considerable amount of lab time outside of the actual class, but somehow she is always around to help. Can get distracted fairly easily, but it is always within the field.

Not the best organized class in the world. Yes, Campbell is nice, but horribly unorganized. Class was just very unstructured. Assignments were helpful, but vague.

Dr. Campbell is a nice lady but not the greatest teacher. Her lectures are confusing and she goes off on random tangents. There is a fair amount of homework and a lot of the assignments ask questions related to material she never goes over in class and is not covered in the book so you're left guessing. Luckily, her study guides reflect tests.

AVOID THIS CLASS. Unless you actually want to be an archaeologist, I seriously advise NOT taking this class. She is really old and can't even turn on a computer. She is so scattered and going to class is almost useless. Her tests follow the study guide pretty well but she assumes you know all the vocab. I dreaded this class, and it's 5 days a week!

I thought this class would be interesting, but the teacher's course material did not match the take home tests. I am usually a B+, A- student and earned a C- Overall didn't learn very much in the class and the teacher did not provide much additional help.

Sarah Campbell is both scattered and patronizing. I found her to be exceptionally rude. She is very intelligent, but it is difficult to understand what she is saying. She has poor communication skills. I would not advise taking any of her classes.

Obviously interested in what she's talking about, but it comes out too fast. She's not very good at explaining what's going on in her head and the class is difficult to go through with her knowledge not displayed properly through her words. kinda not all there sometimes.

Campbell is an exceptionally intelligent person. She knows her stuff very well. This however does not make for a good professor. I took Intro to Archaeology, and she expected us to know everything right away. Once again I say this was an INTRO class, not advanced. When I went to ask for help, she made it out to be a huge deal. Overall: Not happy!

I think she changed her essays up a bit from last quarter, she said she made them easier if i recall correctly. Skipped half her classes, don't need the book. Take it if you want an A, don't take it if you want to learn something. Really nice professor though, if that counts but one of the most scatter brained profs i've ever had!!!

Just because you have a PhD doesn't mean you can teach. If you want to learn something, don't take this class. She assigns projects without explaining them, and then knocks off points in the end when you don't do it right. Hours upon hours of lab work is required outside of class, she gets mad if you don't show up to lab.

Complete scatterbrain. Like others have said, if you value your time, do not take her courses. Granted, I do think she is very intelligent and knows her stuff, she just has very poor public speaking skills and no organization skills. She'd make a way better online teacher. Plus, if you hate group projects, stay away from this prof.

Terrible. Always late, could have made a very interesting subject fun but made me never want to read or discuss anything about it anymore. Discussion questions were terrible along with a disorganized group project. Don't take her if you value your time and want to be interested in the subject she is teaching. She's very intelligent just unclear.
