Overall, this was a good class and was set up well. My only complaint is that he is a very tough grader on the test essays and you have to get the information exactly right to pass. Only 4 tests, each on a book we read. He devotes an entire class to asking questions on the study guide.

One of my favorite professors ever. Super approachable, easy-going, and intelligent. He sincerely wants his students to have a good understanding of the material and is always willing to answer questions or just discuss. Fair grader, gives great feedback on papers. As long as you show up to class you probably won't even have to study very much.

I had Dr. Harris unexpectedly because he ended up replacing Dr. Kuhn for Corporate White Collar Crime. He's a really great professor, really smart, interesting to talk to, and he made me a better writer after critiquing my papers. Nerdy, but awesome :)

I wasn't a Soc major but did well and enjoyed this course. Prof Harris teaches students to recognize the limits of their perspectives. Gives 8 different ways of thinking about society and yourself. Somewhat long-ish paper due at end, but on a flexible topic. Prof is smart and funny.

He is an awesome teacher. He makes learning so fun since he tells us about his marriage and family! By the end of the class, you've learned so much about your parent's relationships and about the kind of marriage you want to have if you plan on getting married! Tests get harder over time, but he gives an excellent study guide.

Great teacher overall, likes to involve students in discussing concepts. I learned a lot of interesting stuff; my favorite class of the semester. He's a bit picky on tests, but not to the point of being frustrating. His papers are short and easy--little research involved.

This class was cool...I found the concepts interesting and he ties hard to show you how it ties in with real life experiences. The tests are long but he gives study guides and is helpful with questions you might have. Hes picky about the paper so do it early and have him proof read it first
