Comment:

Out of all of the HSC profs, I would try and take another. He is good but he is too zealous in his aspirations for the class and makes HSC101 into a major level class. It is great for pre-med but not much more. Beware of lectures and read the book. Never skip workouts and make sure to really workout hard. Wouldn't take again but really funny.

Dr. Murr is a really awesome guy. He takes the material seriously, but is also lighthearted and funny, and makes classes interesting. You do really have to study for his tests, but if you know your stuff, you'll do really well. Also, he tells you to read the textbook, but you'll be okay if you just read his powerpoints online

Dr. Murr is a really nice and super cool guy. He knows his stuff and really cares about the students and material. He's willing to help outside the classroom and funny. You have to study for his tests, but they're very manageable. I also never really did the reading because his tests are things covered in class.

Dr. Murr is a great professor for HSC 101. You do need to do reading of the textbook and he does expect you to have a general idea about the subject matter before it is discussed in class because of the prior reading. Also, there is a common misconception that HSC 101 will be an easy A and it is not, you must study a lot, treat it like a science!

Dr. Murr's everyday lectures got repetitive, and so the class was not overly interesting. He does give study guides for the tests which are useful. B's are easy to make. You may have to study a few more hours to make an A, but it is attainable.

Dr. Murr is pretty awesome...he is fun and makes his subject interesting. You can tell he loves to teach and loves what he teaches. The class was not very hard but you do need to do well on the tests b/c there were only 3. overall a pretty easy class.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Murr. His tests can be tricky and he can sometimes take off on projects for random things, but he is AWESOME. He takes great interest in his students and he is extremely entertaining. TAKE HIM!!!!!

this class wasnt that hard, i didnt read and got a B and i didnt work out that hard. you basically get to do whatever you want as long as you look like ur doing somehting when working out. a lot of projects but not that hard and tests are straight from powerpoints

I thought Dr. Murr was great. True, he's not your average professor in that he doesn't have a strict regimen in the way of teaching and presentation - but I liked that about him. He's funny, thorough in explanations and always willing to help. Other students thought he was too difficult and not clear but I completely disagree.

I would definitely recommend taking Murr for HES. He really loves what he does and it shows in his teaching. His workouts are not hard at all and his class is really entertaining. His tests were a little long and sometimes tricky, but not bad at all if you put a little effort in!

Why does Murr have a green face?! He deserves a smiley!! The few assignments in the class are easy to get a good grade on, tests are somewhat picky and lengthy, esp. fill ins. If you study 2 days before the test, you're good!

All things considered, I really liked Dr. Murr. His class days tended to drag on a little bit, but I learned a lot. You do have to study some, but it's interesting and helpful information. He is a very nice guy, very friendly. Participate in class and you're golden!

Yeah, seriously! I liked him! The class is a cinch - easy A with little to no effort. As long as you're not obese he likes you. Just be able and willing to actually work out and you'll be fine.
