Wanna give a minus rating. She's the WORST prof I've had in my life. She has 0 care for students, all she does is for her own interest. Have to make apptmt with her for anything. Once I walked a long way in a heavy snow from my apt to meet her as scheduled, but she told to meet another day. I can't believe a person like her can exist in academia.

If you are in a class with Dr. Bird, be prepared to WORK. She is a tough grader and her tests are really difficult. However, her material is very interesting and so are the discussions. She is a great role model to anyone who wants to teach. She is strong but not rude, and every student respects her. I would definitely take this class again

This class was my least favorite class of all my classes at ISU.. and I'm a senior. Extremely biased and political. Not open to alternative viewpoints. She knows the material well but isn't open to alternative viewpoints. I do not recommend it.

Wicked smart professor. Her tests aren't easy, but that's because she covers so much material. Come to class, speak up in discussion (she gives out extra points for that), and do the readings and you can do well. I learned a lot. Wish I could take more classes with her!

Sharon is kind and very enthusiastic. Lectures are interesting. However, grading is questionable. Three of us studied together, wrote the same essay (same key points, 100%), with grades ranging from 6-8-10 out of 10. The tests are difficult, but if you study enough for an A, you can get a B. I don't mind the experience. She is super nice!

This class was very interesting. Sharon is very knowledgable about what she teaches. The class is rather easy. Attendence is not neccessary but recommended for a good great. All of her note are on powerpoints and very easy to read and follow. Her tests and quizes are very hard; go to class, play attention, and do the reading and your set.

Go to class & you're guaranteed a B for sure. If you are shooting for an A you have to do some readings. She's very nice and uses power point throughout the semester.

Comment:
ethnic and race relations class... 330 maybe? Anyway, she has poor grammar and preaches against racism and such. Why must she be biased? Also, some of her facts were untrue (but I guess facts don't need to be, just supported by evidence). Grades a bit tough but EASY lectures. Darn her multiple choice confusing questions!
