Comment:
Do not need the text book. Everything you need to know for homework and exams is in everything she provides (powerpoints and outlines). Exams can be a little challenging but if you do the reviews she gives you and all the homework and look through what she provides for you, there is no reason you can't get a good grade.

I always read these reviews and get mixed signals. Here is the straight forward answer on Dr. Green: Her class is challenging, but worth it. You will not be guaranteed an A, but if you work for it, it is possible. She is one of the most direct profs I've ever had, and she makes things as clear as possible (helpful in acct)

Sharon is an amazing professor, she provides you with plenty of materials through homework, practice exams, and projects that thoroughly prepare you for exams. Her lecture style is very straight-forward and clear. Couldn't ask for a better professor when it comes to something as awful as mandatory accounting classes.

theres very little room for error if you want to get an A in her class, 90% of the grade are tests( 6 of them). But she splits the test into two days, so if you study the material for each day ull be ok. she was really helpful with outlines, practice exams, reviews or even when i emailed her.

she is a pretty bad professor. I agree that her teaching style is straight-forward, but she does not like to help students at all and grades exams extremely hard. If you could have other alternatives, dont take her.

Extremely nice. She gives you all the homework on a CD on the first day, as well as partial notes - powerpoint slides with blanks that you have to fill in. The homework assignments can be long, but they're basically practice tests. No reason not to get an A in a Sharon Green class.

Dr. Green was a decent professor; however, there are too many case studies that are very time consuming and difficult to understand. I think if she taught more from the book students would learn a lot more from this course. Also, she grades the tests and major case studies very hard.

These reviews are ridiculous. Sharon Green' style of teaching is so straight-forward. She is so organized and tells you exactly what she expects from you on each exam. If you don't understand something, she is more than willing to help. My only complaint is that I couldnt take her for more classes.

Future students, all you need to know is this- I re-took cost accounting from a better professor after putting up with Sharon Green for a semester. She was the WORST accounting professor I ever had. She is not passionate and doesn't seem to care if students are struggling. I work as an accountant now and I can tell you her class was pointless!!

By far the hardest class I've taken yet. I don't mind being challenged but she is crazy. The last test we had everyone failed and she let us re-take one small portion of the test. She said that was the first time she did that in over 18 years. She does give sample tests and outlines of the chapters but she tries to trick you on every test.

Green is by far the greatest professor I have ever taken. I never learned so much in my life. She wants you to understand the material very well so she is quite challending. Its hard to get an A, but not impossible. Slackers will definitley not do well. Overall, I wish I could take her for every single accounting class! Green is highly reccommended

AVOID THIS WOMAN AT ALL COSTS. She is very, very unfair. Those who work the hardest are in no way rewarded; instead, everyone is pretty much lumped into a D to to B- range. TAKE ANYONE BUT HER.

Seriously, I agree with everyone who's said to avoid her. I had a solid B+ going into the last week of class, but she gave this random test right before the final that everyone did horribly on. I HOPE I end up with a B- AT BEST now. She gives an insane amount of work and always just seems like a thorn in your side.

Heres the thing: She is OK at teaching but she tries to trick you on exams instead of test your knowledge which is really frustrating. Not to mention the fact that we dont need to know this stuff cuz its all on computers these days. She is pretty mean also. I have a 3.7gpa and got a D in this class, and i tried really hard. AVOID HER if you can!!!!

I loved Sharon! She does give a lot of work, but if you don't put the time into it she is not going to give you the grade you want. She gave us a CD with all power points, homeworks, and sample exams with sample final! She is a great person and I wish she taught more upper level classes!

She was horrible to me and even though I worked hard and got decent grades on her tests she had her favorites and didn't like me. She knew I was an acct major and didn't even include me in the email she sent to her "prize" students asking them to apply for the PwC Internship. So I applied myself and got in... then i laughed in her face.
