Dr. Sinclair is older but she is good at teaching the material. Very lecture heavy. You need to pay attention to pass the exams as she is a tough grader.

Attendance isn't mandatory but she doesn't post lecture notes or PowerPoints online so if you want to have stuff to write on for the term papers, you should probably attend. Lectures are long but you get a break and they're super interesting! She's a really nice lady and she has a sense of humor.

I like her. very nice woman, she lectures the whole time, but she is exuberant, and lively. She presents the information very well. I would highly recommend. Only thing is she probably should brush up on some technology skills haha.

Best professor I have had at LAX! There are only three "exams" which are just papers that are very easy. There are also three discussion questions that are also easy. Easy A, take her and you will not be disappointed. I also never opened up my book the entire year, besides for the discussion questions. Would take again!!!!!

Hands down favorite professor at UWL so far. I am a business major but still absolutely loved her class. She knows what she is talking about and her lectures are interesting. There are no exams just 3 four page papers which are long but way better than taking an exam.. and she lets you out early almost every day sometimes even a half hour early.

Dr. Sinclair had some of the best lectures. They are long, but she gives you a 5-minute break about half-way into the lecture period, and she is super enthusiastic about and thorough with the material. She only gave take home exams, which saved me this semester because my other courses were pretty difficult. If you have to take HIS102, TAKE HER!

Dr. Sinclair is wonderful instructor, she knows the course forward and backward. She gives long lectures every class, but she is enthusiastic and makes even the most boring topic interesting. Another great thing about Dr. Sinclair is that she only gives take home exams in this class, and hardly EVER has homework. I HIGHLY recommend taking her!

Her lectures are always pretty interesting and her side comments during the lecture add to that. She really cares about what she is teaching and has genuine interest in what we think about the topic. I will definitely take her again.

Love her! She's so enthusiastic about the material, and I love the way she conveys it to the class. Attendance isn't mandatory, except on 4 discussion days. although I went to every class, she's that good! 4 Discussions, 3 papers, that's it! Very clear on what she wants on the papers and how she grades. She's really fun to talk to as well!

Take this sweet old lady! She really cares about history and it shows. The class consists of taking notes, but it goes by fast. She let us out early every day, sometimes even 25min. No reading needed for the class, just write 3 clean 3-5 page papers and you will do just fine!

Dr. Sinclair is a great professor if you do not like taking history classes. No formal exams, there are 2 midterm papers and a final paper though. Her lectures are easy to follow, and I never used my textbook. I have put in minimal effort and been very successful in the class. I would recommend her!

Such a good lecture professor! I hate history, but she made it as interesting as she could. While all you do in most classes is take notes the whole time, she gives you a 10min break and gives you good notes to use for your papers. Grades papers surprisingly harshly, but as long as you use specific examples from your notes, youll get around a B

I love Dr. Sinclair! HIS 200 is made up of three 100 point papers. I got 95% on all of them. There are a few other points to earn, but if you aren't a strong essay writer and want an A, I might look elsewhere, but a B is definitely attainable. Attendance isn't mandatory: she only takes attendance on group discussion days which is 3 times.

For a history class, she's probably one of the better professors however i didn't care for her. guidelines on the essays were vague and even if you think you had a good paper if she gives you a low grade there is little explanation why.

Sinclair is one of the few history professors who can actually make history interesting. You can tell how much passion she has for it. Do note that you will be writing an awful lot. I suggest you bring a laptop w/you. There are only a few assignments & 2 take home exams. Take her if you can.

Best history teacher in the department. She grades fairly and for me it was easy to do the required papers in a weekend. Only three papers for the wholes semester for the semester grade. This was great for me, but if you mess up a paper no way to "save" yourself.

Avoid her if you can. We had 3 papers, 3 class discussions, and 3 group discussions. She's very vague in her essay questions, and she makes fun of you for asking questions, rather than answering them. If you like knowing your grade avoid her, she takes forever to turn anything back and doesn't tell you your grade.
