This is the best class I have taken. Skip is great. The class is fun, and the books are mostly interesting. You write imitations and parodies instead of papers, and you take content-based quizzes instead of tests.

Skip is a great guy and a good teacher. He's not overly demanding, and he knows the material inside and out. If you want a down-to-earth instructor who won't ride you through the turf, Skip's the best. His only negative trait is that he seems to lack enthusiasm and energy. He's almost TOO easy-going. At times, Skip almost seems bored with teaching.

Lazy Teaching. He has you read the story, then spends the whole class summarizing what you just read. No real analysis. Has favorites and if you don't crawl up his ass, you won't get an A. Nice enough guy but you can tell he doesn't really enjoy teaching and is just doing it for a job.
