Comment:
He's nice and knowledgeable. Slides are a little boring (black writing on white background, few images) and classes not super engaging but the material itself is interesting. Exams are quite specific but study the slides and you'll be fine.

He is a very very good man! His lectures are interesting but a bit repetitive. There are two presentations and one literature review. He allows students to go free style when it comes to presenting or handing in an assignment. I still have to see if that lands me a good mark!

Comment:
A lot of info in this course, and his notes are very detailed and long to read. However, knowing the main points for each slide is enough, as his tests make you list say 4 out of 8 mechanisms presented ect and the main points Long answers are easy, multiple choice are tricky, so study well! overall, not bad!

IF YOU CAN AVOID HAVING HIM AS A PROF THEN DO. 0 help, comes out as a nice prof but as soon as you need answers for your questions, good luck getting an answer. Grading is hella weird. exams are apparently the same and he never adjusts to match different types of students. Lectures are BORING wich is such a shame cause the material is p intresting

Comment:
His notes are necessarily wordy. He will present a tremendous amount of material in his notes and also say extra things in class which are not on the slides. The slides are supplemented with extra notes in the bottom, probably written by the TA. Looks overwhelming, but all you really need to know are the fundamental concepts in bold.

Really nice and helpful man. Paying attention in class is hard, and since lectures are recorded, everyone skips it. There are 3 exams comprised of MC and short answer. MC is EXTREMELY confusing (a and b, non of the above type). Lots of list questions and detail memorization. Marking criteria is awkward. Course is interesting, though.

Comment:
Material is very intresting, the way the lectures are given is very poor, reads of the slides. Attending is a good idea cause yes lectures are recorded but one might get tired after the first 30 minutes and just give up. he says somethings during class that are not on the slides and are on exams. exams are tricky and grading is weird

Comment:
Explains material clearly, however course material is unnecessarily wordy and there is a lot of it. Lecture style isn't very interesting, you don't really have to go to class (lectures are recorded). Exams can be tricky but they're fair; you need to be well-prepared for them.

Professor Kubow is one of the profs that teaches (Koziris is the other). I found this class to be really interesting as you learn all about proteins, vitamins, fats, etc. in foods you consume. He is easy to understand and knows what he is talking about. Always was able to answer students questions. Non accumulative mc exams, easy assignments.

Excellent prof, answers all questions very clearly, but course content gets boring after the first midterm. Exams can be tricky but manageable.

Not a very good Prof. He just reads off of his power point, which you can get off of web ct, so when he's lecturing there's no point in going to class.
