Comment:

Stan is frustrating. Tests are easy, but there is next to no partial grading; simple mistake easily drops you to a 50. Don't bother asking questions, it just makes him cranky. Design projects are more busy work than educational, as it matters more how the cover page looks than what you do for the report.

DS wasn't too bad but DME is sucking. Totally worthless as a professor, but the tests are generally straightforward. The design projects are garbage, no learning involved. He cares more about formatting than content. If he thinks something is out of place he'll get all flustered and act like you must be crazy for writing such a terrible report.

He may not always be the most clear in his lectures or instructions for projects, but his tests are very straight forward. The homework is harder that the tests. For the project progress reports, be sure to have him review it before, and write down as much you can of his comments. It's not worth arguing if he doesn't like it.

Stan the man, so few words just can't describe. Very easy to get good grade, but very time consuming projects. Just agree with everything he says during progress reports and you might leave without him getting so mad as to be incomprehensible. Despite people's complaints, he's really not that bad.

You guys whine too much. Yea he may be old, and isn't very organized, but his tests are super easy. Little partial credit, but if you know what youre doing, you can get a 100% on his tests. Plenty of time to work on your Tetris on the ol' TI-86 during class too! I've heard the M.E. classes are taught different from the G.E., so be warned.
