He is the best professor I have ever had. He teaches alot of good life lessons by just talking to you in a casual setting. He leaves it up to you to create projects and progress at your own pace. When you get to midterm/final time it is your responsibility to have art to show if you dont, your grade reflects accordingly. He doesnt give deadllines

Stan is a worthless teacher because he has not plan as to what he is going to teach. He just goes with it and hopes for the best. Horrible standing for a teacher of his caliber. When critiquing he is not useful at all; only points out your errors, not your strengths.

Stan is a bully. He will not give you constructive criticism, but rather, he will bash on you. If your theories of art do not coincide with his, he will YELL at you and tell you that you are wrong without any explanation as to why. He will randomly disappear for long periods of time, and practically not be available. Do not take any of his classes

Stan is a great teacher. He doesn't coddle or hold hands: he tells it like it is. He tells you how to make your work better and doesn't lie and say everything is great. It might seem like criticism, but he's telling you exactly how to make your drawing work. If you want to talk to him, go up to him. He lets the class work on its own otherwise.

Doesn't like people just copying pictures.He likes to expand your own style with a lot of the class being self motivated to develop your own art.If you want to learn how to copy what you see take a different teacher,but that ISN'T ART.Not all of his criticism is constructive(as he doesn't censure himself),but if you put in the effort it's worth it

Stan is the most worthless drawing teacher ever. I learned more by watching what the students were doing in the other drawing classes than in the one I was in. Waste of money and time. He misses lots of classes, which is the only good thing he does. Has a bad temper to boot.

Skips class more than any student I've ever known, more interested in promoting his own business and projects than ensuring that his students perform well, seems to enjoy making inflamatory remarks to "make us think" when really the remarks are just hurtful, Stan is the perpetual squeaky wheel who is handed the grease just to get him to shut up.

He's a solid teacher. He doesn't censor himself which causes a lot of problems with students who expect an automatic A with their Art class. He knows what he's doing and wants to teach it to people who actually want to do art.

He is unclear about assignments, and rarely says anything good about your work. If he likes it, He says nothing. Laziest professor I have ever meet, impossible to locate and talk to outside, and sometimes even durring class. Skips class more than most students do.

You can't take his criticism seriously or personally, I do like that he tries to get students motivated to do greater thing. I do feel that he is on his own page a lot of the time. Unlike other professors he says what's on his mind. Probably did too much acid.

Take it from a guy who can spell condescending. He's tough, and at times mean, but he's always constructive and trying to help. unless you're not doing anything, then he gets annoyed (but with good reason).
