his lectures are boring, he talks very clear. I believe he is the chair of the department. gives you 1 test, and a final project. grades attendance through group assignments which are very easy. the books are useless a waste of money. DONT BUY THEM!!!

This class was really boring because the concepts were pretty dull. Attendance isn't taken daily, but if you take all of his pop quizzes, you will get some solid bonus points towards the end of the course. The annotated bibliography is a cake walk, and his exams are pretty challenging, but you can do average on those and still do well.

845 class is a nightmare. No text, matching column exams, very simple homework and a very simple semester project. Info lit gened, but unlike all the others its 3 credits instead of 1, so thats good. hes a decent teacher and makes everything easy to understand. his tests are admittedly very challenging, but not near impossible. nothing bad to say

Complete lack of teaching ability. I put up with his crap all semester, got to the final, took one look at the ridiculous psych-test format of it, and wrote "Prof. DeLong: For the sake of future students, please consider discontinuing your teaching career." Then I handed it back to him, untaken, and walked out. I failed, but it was worth it.

Don't take the class unless you have to. On the first day of class he makes it sound easy, but then you get into it and you cant even stay awake in class. The tests are so rediculous and make no sense what so ever, and I still have no idea how to study for them.

dont take this class unless you have to...mad early in the morning w/ pop quizzes sometimes...the class is soo boring and the tests are ridiculous..the annotated bib is the only thing that saved me in that class...and do the homework assignments...generally this class blows

Much you can learn about library and internet research which is great. Also much info on what is out there on the internet and its history. Tests are made up of a number of trick questions--apparently to keep the grades from being too high--which is a pain in the @#$% and unnecessary. Remember to write the bibliography as you go along!!

I suppose the professor himself isn't so bad, but omg, this is the worst class. Maybe the school should think about offering it at other times then at say, 845 AM.. Most people fall asleep. The tests are confusing, and barely have any directions. Good luck.
