Professor Yerian is such a cute old man. He talks quietly and doesn't always make sense, but he is a pretty good teacher for the material. The class material was so difficult, but he did make it a little easier.

I took his college physics lecture both semesters, and I can't say that he is phenomenal at explaining things. However, he is a really nice man who tries really hard. I would recommend attempting the homework before he goes over it in class.

very good teacher. Dumbs-down classes for students but does give some hard tests. Read the book and you're fine. does cool things with lasers and reflections. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Yerian is a great guy but a terrible professor. He teaches at a kindergarten level but tests at the doctorate level. In class he doesn't spend enough time lecturing and wastes all the time doing the assigned homework for us. Tests are supposed to be straightforward, and some are, but be prepared for those that will catch you completely off guard.

one of the most worthless teachers here..he doesnt teach anything and can be compared to the "answer guide" to the homework..tests are supposed to be straightforward but always tends to make them way more challenging than they really should be especially for an algebra based physics class..AVOID IF CAN unless you have prior experience with physics

Dr. Yerian is a good professor, but not great. If you go to class, do the homework, and make sure you actually understand how to do the homework, you should be fine. He is available to help with homework problems, but he usually just does the problem for you, which may or may not help you, depending on your learning style.

Yerian knows his stuff. However he can be pretty boring when he's teaching. Especially early morning. That's why I was so lazy to go to class! He does go over the homework problems if you ask. His tests are pretty tricky as he tends to change minor details from the hw problems. You always think you do good and then you realize there's more to it.

VERY helpful. Teaches/assigns problems directly to the test. Will do every homework problem in class. Even tells you that he's easier than the other physics teacher. Last year when the avg was below the year before, he made up extra credit quizzes.

Dr. Yerian is an excellent professor, certainly one of the more helpful ones I've had as a physics major as he will spend entire class periods going over homework questions if you ask. His tests are pretty basic with respect to the course material, few surprises. He explains things pretty clearly if you're willing to listen, great professor.

Dr. Yerian is an excellent instructor. He balances dry theory with plenty of demonstrations, which sometimes end in comical mishaps. He is more than willing to help whenever you are stuck on a problem, and he is full of plenty of interesting and useless facts. For example, a human being acts as a 100W space heater.

Very nice guy with a great sense of humor. likes to give "life lessons" to keep you awake. will go over EVERY SINGLE homework problem if you ask. tests are very straight forward - no surprises ever. homework is only for completion. i highly recommend this man. he is the one decent person i've come into contact with in the physics department.

What a great teacher! He makes physics seem a much better and more understandable to the average person.
