I don't recall anywhere in the course outline a section about his son's mediocre band, or how there would be endless sentences that started with "Back when I worked at CHUM AM". He's an all right guy, but doesn't seem too interested in offering help outside of class. He tends to go on tangents when explaining things in class. He's fun when talking to him about life in general, but he doesn't seem too interested in the students themselves or how much they are learning.
