The intermediate series is rough and this class was no exception. Steve is a really nice guy, but lectures can be boring. Quizzes and exams were difficult with averages around 50%. The case was the worst, definitely ask him tons of questions during office hours. The curve will save you in this class, it ended up being almost a 20% curve at the end.

This was like any other accounting class. Tests were difficult and lectures were long. Steve was very helpful when you had questions in class or in his office hours. He knows a lot about the real world which is really helpful. The case is crazy hard/long so don't procrastinate it.

He treats you like a teenager than an adult, and makes a very serious and heavy atmosphere. He always gives problems for the next session. Class is always about solving those problems and then he uses the rest of class, sometimes just 20min on lecture, so not much of details. He selects people randomly and asking questions about those problems.

One of my favorite professors. Lectures are straight forward with lots of example problems. Homework is optional and he posts answers and explanations to it at the end of the week. Be sure to study for the quizzes though. Final was tough, but it's department wide so can't really blame him. Would definitely take again!

Was worried at first about Steve when I read the reviews on him, but he turned out to be a great teacher. He makes you do everything by hand which can be tedious but really helps you better understand. If you put in the work and do all the practice problems he gives you you should get at LEAST a B.

Took him @ Santa Clara CAAP program. Nice guy, terrible instructor. A lot of the class couldn't follow the lecture, some left during the break. Too bad because he tests on his lecture, not the book. He grades very hard. His test problems lack information to complete the problem. They also include wrong numbers. Avoid him if you can help it!

One of the most helpful professors in terms of clarifying any problems within the subject matter. Extremely hard grader! If you are taking his class, MAKE SURE YOU READ AND DO PRACTICE PROBLEMS!

Great teacher! I thought he taught everything well and really tried to make it understandable. He used a lot of real world examples which I appreciated. His tests were really hard and not many people got good grades but things were curved.

He was actually really good at teaching accounting. People that didn't like him or thought he was confusing probably missed class because I attended every one and followed the class very well. He was very approachable and willing to clarify and confusion. The repetition of problems was extremely helpful and the exams were very straightforward.

Hard class beyond belief. I managed to get a B+ but majority failed. He's a nice guy but takes roll everyday (we're in college damn it) and calls on you all the time!

Extremely DULL and boring material taught in a very unexciting manner. LOTS of C's D's and a few F's in my class. He grades tough for how boring the material is. It is a painful 2 hours of powerpoint lecturing - he randomly calls on people and grills them, and particularly targets anyone who looks more bored or unattentive then others.

Steve teaches a dull subject in a dull way. The guy knows everything about Accounting , but can't somehow find a way to teach it. I ended up teaching everything to myself. I should be the one getting paid. Anybody could read off powerpoint slides for an hour and 50 mins. NOT RECOMMENDED...
