Dr. Gracyk is an awesome professor! Hes very willing to help if you have questions and nothing is ever left unclear. I would really recommend coming to class, if not for the fact he is absolutely hilarious and has the best stories. Otherwise, just do the work and youll be fine.

An amazing teacher, one of the only classes with non mandatory attendance that I've attended. I walked away with my mind blown each day. He knows his stuff and is crazy in a good way. Beware though, you have 6 papers to turn in without any official due date, but can only submit one paper a week. Procrastinators be prepared to hustle at the end.

AMAZING professor if you do well with lectures. Everything is clearly explained and questions welcomed. However, don't expect anything besides lectures. He clearly understands the content and is great at conveying this to students. If you need something explained he will go into more detail so you understand. Would recommend!

Just finishing up his online Morals and Medicine class. The text book is really good and a nice pick for the course. Dr. Gracyk is amazing with feedback, and has assignments graded within hours (even our 1600 word essays, AMAZING). He manages to make an online class still feel involved, which I think is important for a PHIL class. Take his courses!

I feel like with PHIL you either get a very horrible professor or a good one. I would say Gracyk is one of the best. He makes you think and create arguments. He doesn't push his view onto you or say you are wrong for your beliefs. Some professors do that, but he doesn't. I respect him.

Dude, I was SO freaked out first because I had no idea what to do, but he was extremely helpful. He was like an actor during class, so it helped understand clearly and I enjoyed a lot. He was not an easy one, so I was able to learn a lot : ) His Cali stories were intriguing as well.

I LOVE Gracyk! By far my favorite teacher at MSUM. Extremely entertaining, extremely interesting, and you learn far more than you expect to learn in a normal class. He may seem intimidating on the first day, but you will learn to love him fast. And as long as you meet the requirements on the work he gives you you should get a decent grade. TAKE HIM

Gracyk is the man! Seriously, if you can write a decent paper, you can do very well in his classes. His lectures are top notch and fun; he relates current events and pop culture to the material. He is so clear; no tests, just papers. Usually has an in class essay for the final. Definitely try to take at least one of his classes while at MSUM!

GRACYK. How can I even describe how awesome this man is? His lectures are engaging, he's entertaining and not to mention HILARIOUS. The man is brilliant. Come to class and you'll know exactly how to write the few papers he assigns -- and with an instructor like him, I don't know why you'd ever want to skip in the first place. TAKE HIM.

Dr. Gracyk always took his time with me, and that meant a lot, being a freshman in a 300 level course. He certainly knew his stuff, and would present what is normally a dry, dull, boring subject (symbolic logic) in such a way that I didn't miss a single day of his class!

He gets really loud, but he really knows his stuff. never knew his personal opinon, very unbiased. MUST read textbook and articles, go to class, he does extra credit in-class papers that are short check + or - and count for 20% of grade. he shouts, really, but he's fun. knows a lot about material

I posted the 9/17/05 review back when i had not yet taken the time to get to konw Dr. Gracyk. I humbly apologize for MY arrogance. The man has taught me so much. It's amazing how much I have learned just asking him questions after class. He will give you about a fifteen minute answer that puts evrything into perspective. Sorry Dr. Gracyk.

I am not quite sure where the misogynist comments are comming from, as I am a female, was a major in philosophy and was treated very well. I think Ted is a wonderful person and an amazing instructor. He help to create my love of philosophy and respected my opinions and thoughts. I don't think he is arrogant in any way, shape or form. I totally respect him!!!!

He keeps a lid on the BS of the know-it-all philosophy majors. actually tries to answer our questions, tells us if he doesn't know something. so how is he arrogant?
