All the bad comments probably meant that people did poorly. Yes he is really hard, but physics is hard. If you haven't taken calc before hand, the class is much harder as it is calculus based. I only got 65 on midterm, but i still like the guy. I would take him again.

Dropped the class. He's not interested in teaching. If you don't understand the material, too bad for you.

Steve is very helpful on one one help. His Midterm and written assignments have all been very fair. The online assingments are quite hard and the material on them is not usaully covered in class, just barely in the textbook. He really pushes you to work hard. Do not take this class unless you are 100% serious. You must be prepared to work.

Very hard to follow. If you don't read up from the text book you have no hope in passing this class. He constantly forgets to mention which formula he is using and doesn't include units until the end so it's really hard to follow along.

He taught us nothing that was on our midterm. The day we got our midterm back he walked into the class and told us that we should be glad that we dont have cancer, and that failing our midterm was no big deal. He constantly messes up his examples and it's very confusing. He tries to be helpful but is often hard to understand.

He is the worst professor I have every had. He did not teach us a single thing that was on the midterm! He never gets his own calculations right, and still expects us to understand when he can't even do it right. Horrible!!!

Doesn't go through much in class that he tests you on. Course might as well be done by correspondents because he doesn't work much through. Starts examples and tells you to finish them. Expects a lot from his students. Be prepared to learn the entire class through reading the textbook and not the lectures.

Although he did try to apply physics to everyday life, his assignments were unbelievably hard, his examples in the class were rarely connected to the assignment, he was approachable and a nice guy outside of class, make sure you buy your textbook your going to need it!!!

Yikes! This was the hardest class I ever took!!! Don't do this unless you nead to or you're one of those strainge people that like this like the prof is. He made us work hard and in the end it werked out Whew! (It felt good to watch all those idiots drop... -satisfying course! *sorry*)

Professor Patitsas is the most professional prof I've ever had. His lectures are clear and interesting and he clearly enjoys teaching a tough class. Most of the people in the class hate physics so there's a lot of complaining. But he made solve tough problems and this helped me ace my MCAT!

Not a good professor. He is not good at teaching the concepts and left you to figure out things for yourself, which is not so easy in such a difficult subject. Is not approachable and did not offer any alternatives for help. The size of my class dramtically dropped within a week of learning from this professor.

Oh boy, he is the perfect example of when they say that professors are people who can not make it in the real world! He is not interested in lower level physics. He can not answer questions that are asked. He got mad at a student after we waited about 1/2hr for him to answer a simple question. All she was doing was trying to help him. Backwards...
