Comment:

Dr. Poole is the best statistics professor. He breaks down the material from each chapter to make learning all the information easier. He cares about all of his students and works with you if you need any extra help. Math has never been my strong suit, however, I really enjoyed this class. If you study the labs, you will pass the tests.

Comment:

The subject itself was hard for me, but if I think about the bigger picture, this class was actually really easy. He doesn't take attendance but it's your responsibility to get the notes. There was 3 exams and a few quizzes and a final. His exams are actually pretty complicated so study everything you can. Sweet teacher.

Comment:

Easily one of the best math teachers/professors I've ever had. He makes the material really easy to understand and is always open to questions if you're having trouble understanding something. Quizzes are about every two weeks while exams are about once a month. Both quizzes and exams are really easy. He's a pretty funny person too.

Really good teacher. Probably my favorite teacher I took my first semester. His lectures are really easy to understand and he makes sure you understand it as well. If you have any questions he will gladly help you. Make sure you do all the homework and classwork and you will understand the material.

Best prof I've taken yet at Stan. Attendance is key here. Take plenty of notes each class. He recaps lessons for 10-30 mins, then goes over new material w/In-Class hw and regular hw due at the end. Few pop-quizzes, 3 exams, 1 final (cumulative). Good/funny lectures, and doesn't expect you to know it all at the get go. 7 years w/out math, & got an A

Professor Poole is an incredibly caring and genuine guy. He provides help whenever needed and the work is not hard at all. Easy homework and easy exams. No projects and most of the labs are done during class time. Poole makes statistics interesting and seems to genuinely enjoy it. Great lectures and overall a great class.

Professor Poole is the nicest professor on campus. He knows which students are putting in the effort or not. Your grade is based on homework (which is around 5 problems a lesson), quizzes (that are extremely easy), and tests(which you HAVE TO study for) and the final exam that covers everything.

He's a sweet man who really knows how to explain finite clearly. A lot of HW but it really helps your grade if you don't do good on the quizzes or exams. He will go step by step on something you don't understand and goes over things that will be on the test or quizzes beforehand.

Lectures are super simple and the labs are just a paper with a few problems. Sweet man who is not hard on you if you didnt do the homework once or twice, will let you do it during class and turn it in. Tells you whats on the quizzes and exams and makes it easy to review. Would definitely take again

He really cares about his students and will cater to their needs. Easily approachable with questions and he will go step by step in showing you the process of solving. He can be a goofball at times during lectures. He does have quite a number of quizzes before exams, but he lets you know ahead of time when they are. Not a lot of HW problems.

My second time taking finite and this professor really knows how to teach it. He won't move on until everyone understands the material. Theres short homework everyday but he puts up the answers so you don't technically need the book. I stopped using the book halfway through the semester and just studied with my notes and I still ended with an A.

Mr. Poole is honestly a super cool dude. He's super sweet, nice, caring and has a quirky sense of humor. He really wants his students to pass and if you have any questions don't hesitate. Highly recommend him and also be sure to get the textbook, you will definitely need it.

Mr. Poole is one of the best math teachers I've ever had and he really tries to get to know you and help you succeed. The answers to the homework are online too just in case you get stuck. Don't take advantage of this though or else the exams and quizzes will be more difficult. They aren't bad though just pay attention in class. Definitely take him

Great math teacher! Really takes the time to make sure that students understand what he is working on even if it means slowing down for those of us that are a bit challenged when it comes to math. He genuinely cares about his students learning the material and passing. Such a great experience. Homework has answers online for you before it's due.

Professor Poole is great! He explains everything clearly and will help you if you ask. We have to do lab after the lecture which is just a few problems and he checks it before we leave. He gives out a few quizzes and there are 3 exams and a final. If you study and put in the effort to learn the material you'll be fine.

Professor Poole is an excellent math professor who makes math relatively simple. He assigns a small problem set every class period for homework. There are three exams plus the final which is cumulative. I'd definitely take him again!
